Astros vs Twins Pick, MLB Betting Preview

The top edge in Action Network's PRO strikeout market is Houston starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. to go under 4.5 strikeouts. There are under 5.5s floating around if you want to take more juice, but I like the 4.5 at plus-money.

Action Network's PRO Projections have him at 4.1 strikeouts against Minnesota tonight, so this is really a numbers play.

The Twins do strike out a touch above average, but McCullers has been pretty helter-skelter lately.

I think the market is pricing this low because he racked up nine Ks against the Orioles three starts ago and another six against the Mariners in his last outing.

That said, he has gone under this number in five of his eight starts overall, and the projection sitting at 4.1 makes the under look attractive to me.

Given the projections and recent history, I'm going to take McCullers to stay under 4.5 strikeouts at plus-money.

Pick: Lance McCullers Jr. Under 4.5 Strikeouts (+120)
