Dodgers vs Braves MLB Betting Preview

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

While the Dodgers are coming off of their first loss of the 2026 MLB Postseason this past Sunday, it's still all business for the back-to-back World Series champions who remain a short betting favorite to steal Game 3 on the road in Atlanta.

Given that Skubal and Snell previously took the mound for Los Angeles in the first two games of the series, Dodgers’ righty Yoshinobu Yamamoto will get the start this evening.

The Dodgers’ 28-year-old has been phenomenal in his third season pitching in the Major Leagues — having recorded a 2.53 ERA along with an extremely efficient 0.87 WHIP — both of which rank inside the top five in all of baseball. In addition, the former-NPB standout has allowed just one earned run (ER) across 16.1 previous innings pitched (IP) versus this Atlanta lineup since his arrival to the MLB.

The top of this Los Angeles lineup needs no introduction as Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani has recorded a hit in each of his first two postseason games in 2026, and will surely be looking to build upon that momentum versus Sale in this game.

The Dodgers’ lineup is both extremely deep and versatile, with opposing pitchers having to get through a batting order featuring the likes of Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hernandez, Freddie Freeman and Kyle Tucker.

After having scored just two runs in the NLDS Game 2, the Dodgers will definitely be looking for a spark as they face their first road challenge of the 2026 MLB postseason.

Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

After having dropped Game 1 of the NLDS in a hard-fought battle in Los Angeles, the Braves returned with a vengeance in Game 2 on Sunday night, taking down the top-seeded Dodgers in impressive fashion, thus returning to Atlanta with the series all tied up.

Rather than sending out Chris Sale on short rest, Braves’ manager Walt Weiss made a very bold move, trusting lefty reliever Ray Kerr to start for Atlanta in Game 2 as an opener — Weiss’ game plan worked to a tee, with Kerr now having pitched six scoreless frames in the postseason thus far, while the rest of Atlanta’s bullpen carried the load for the remainder of Game 2 with the Braves ultimately prevailing 3-2.

Aside from the Braves’ bullpen having blown Game 2 of the NL Wild Card Round to the Phillies, Atlanta’s relievers have been largely dominant over the course of the 2026 season, collectively ranking 4th in all of Major League Baseball with a 3.44 ERA.

Now, Braves’ 37-year-old Chris Sale is very well-rested prior to taking the mound on Tuesday night for Game 3 in Atlanta.

The veteran left-hander boasts an elite 1.96 ERA over his final 24 regular-season starts, and will undoubtedly have an additional edge pitching in front of a packed Braves’ crowd at the team’s home Truist Park.

For an Atlanta lineup boasting tremendous depth from 1-to-9, featuring the likes of Ronald Acuña Jr and 1B Matt Olson amongst several other elite bats, Michael Harris II has undoubtedly become the team’s shining star over the first five games of the 2026 postseason thus far.

Despite having previously struggled to find consistency at the plate during the postseason, Harris has been on an absolute tear at the plate for Atlanta, batting .400 with eight hits, four RBIs, five runs and a homer.

Harris is just one of several left-handed sluggers in this Atlanta lineup, which should give the Braves an inherent platoon edge versus the Dodgers’ Yamamoto on Tuesday night.

Dodgers vs Braves Pick, Betting Analysis

We are in for a spectacular matchup this evening as baseball’s two-time reigning champion Los Angeles Dodgers look to continue their reign of dominance in a series-defining NLDS Game 3 showdown.

While most favor the Dodgers to prevail despite what should be a very hostile crowd in Atlanta, I am holding preseason Braves’ World Series futures and will be riding this squad to the very end.

Though the Dodgers are undoubtedly deserving of their betting market respect given what could very well be the makings of a dynasty in Los Angeles, the Braves have re-taken all of the momentum following Game 2’s victory.

Behind a heavy-southpaw lineup and what I expect to be a phenomenal outing from Braves’ veteran ace Chris Sale, I feel confident taking a shot on Atlanta to get the outright victory in front of a rowdy home crowd at Truist Park.

Pick: Braves Moneyline (-108)
