Days after Mattress Mack was picking up his World Series millions in a wheelbarrow in Vegas, he’s back at it.

And he's rolling with another team from Houston — as he normally does.

Jim McIngvale — the Houston furniture magnate who won nearly $75 million on the Astros winning the World Series — has placed $1.5 million in total bets on the University of Houston to win the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. If the Cougars win it all, he'll win a total of $14 million.

The first ticket of $500,000 was made at BetMGM at 10-1 odds. That ticket would pay out $5 million.

The second ticket for $1 million was made at DraftKings at 9-1. That ticket would win $9 million.

It’s not the first time Mack has put big money on the team. In 2021, he bet $1 million on the Cougars at 9-1 — the same price he got this week. Houston lost to Baylor in the Final Four.

Mattress Mack doesn't always roll with his hometown teams, though.

Last year, Mack won $12.2 million after the Kansas Jayhawks won the title. He also wagered on the Alabama Crimson Tide to beat the Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football National Championship. Mack lost $6 million on that wager.

Yet still, Mack bet nearly $10 million on the Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI, which they lost to the Rams. Earlier that postseason, Mack made a roughly $700K wager on the Titans to win it all. The Titans fell in their first playoff game.
