MLB Home Run Picks for September 13
Gunnar Henderson (+425)
at Blue Jays (SP: RHP Max Scherzer)
I'm going hard on the Baltimore bats today, particularly Gunnar Henderson. He has a great matchup against Max Scherzer, who has been hit for power this season.
The Toronto starter is giving up a massive 2.41 HR/9 to lefties this season and has been one of the best matchups for lefty power so far in 2025.
The ballpark is solid for home runs, and the odds are a bit too high. I have the true odds on Gunnar around +350 today.
George Springer Home Run (+321)
vs Orioles (SP: RHP Tomoyuki Sugano)
I'm backing the Blue Jays' George Springer today. The Orioles starter, Tomoyuki Sugano, has been a gas can for power this season. He has a sub 17% K rate to both sides of the plate and has allowed around a 40% fly ball rate to both sides in 2025.
Sugano has been much worse vs. lefty power this season, but he's due for some negative regression vs. righties and some positive regression to lefties.
I have the true odds on Springer around +275, making this a great EV bet.
Yordan Alvarez (+320)
at Braves (SP: RHP Bryce Elder)
Odds are a little low today on Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez, considering the opposing pitcher.
The weather is solid for hitting, and the matchup isn't a bad one against the Braves' Bryce Elder.
Yordan is one of the best HR hitters in the league, and I have the true odds on him today around +275, making this a good bet.
