Giants vs. Dodgers — No Runs First Inning (-120)
|Matchup||Giants (Rodon) vs. Dodgers (White)|
|First Pitch||10:10 p.m. ET|
On Thursday, we head to Dodger Stadium to take a NRFI between two NL West rivals.
The Giants will send out their best off-season pickup and ace in Carlos Rodon. In 2022, he has been nothing less than amazing toward the NRFI. Coming into today at 15-2 to the NRFI places him among the best NRFI pitchers in the league. His road split is just as impressive at 8-1.
Rodon has also won all of his previous matchups against these Dodgers hitters:
- Mookie Betts: 1-for-17
- Justin Turner: 1-for-9
- Trea Turner: 1-for-6
- Freddie Freeman: 0-for-5
Rodon has held the top of the Dodgers’ lineup to a collective 3-for-37 in his career. Additionally, Max Muncy, who is projected to bat sixth today, is just 1-for-8 in his last seven days with five strikeouts.
The Dodgers will counter with Mitch White. At 6-2 this year, it looks like he may have turned the corner in his second season. In eight first innings pitched, White holds an impressive 0.75 WHIP while also only allowing four hits in 30 batters faced.
He has faced this Giants lineup once before:
- Mike Yastrzemski: 0-for-1
- Darin Ruf: 0-for-1
- Wilmer Flores: 0-for-1
- Thairo Estrada: 0-for-1
The month of July has been a first-inning struggle for the Giants. In 65 plate appearances, they have only managed 10 hits and a .179 average. The Giants’ NRFI on the road at a higher rate than the public would expect at 77% of the time.
Bet on for Rodon to continue dominating his matchups by picking up NRFI win number 16, and for White to have a three up/three down first inning against these first-inning slumping Giants bats. Take the NRFI between the Giants and Dodgers.
As always six outs to glory…
