On Monday, we head to the Bay Area to find value in a NRFI between two National League teams the San Francisco Giants and the Atlanta Braves.

The Giants will send out Alex Cobb. Coming into today Alex Cobb is 19-4 to the NRFI with a 12-1 home NRFI split. A lot of Cobbs NRFI success is stemming from his batting order splits.

Cobb has dominated leadoff hitters, allowing just seven hits in 62 at-bats, which is good for a .113 average. Along these lines he has also done very well when facing batters the first time through the order allowing a .211 average.

Here is how Cobb has done in the past against some of these Braves hitters:

  • Dansby Swanson: 1-for-3
  • Matt Olson: 1-for-6
  • Eddie Rosario: 3-for-10

In this past week Ronald Acuña Jr., Austin Riley, and Matt Olson are the drivers of this offense and have been significantly struggling at the plate all hitting well under a .200 average.

The Braves will counter with Spencer Strider. Coming into today Strider is 16-2 to the NRFI. Like Cobb, he has performed well against teams' leadoff hitters and allowed just six hits in 54 at bats which is good for .111 average. The most crucial out in a NRFI is always the first out.

Here is how Strider has done in the past again some of these Giants hitters:

  • Joc Pederson: 0-for-2
  • Mike Yastrzemski: 0-for-2
  • Evan Longoria: 0-for-1

The Braves have been one of the better teams to play when it comes to NRFI in 2022, with a 74% rate of the time writing and 7-3 NRFI streak in their past 10 games.

On the other side, the Giants are slightly better when it comes to playing a NRFI, as they are achieving the NRFI 79% of the time in 2022 and are riding a 8-2 NRFI streak coming into today.

Bet on these two proficient NRFI pitchers to get the job done, and have a scoreless first inning.

As always six outs to glory!
