Philadelphia Phillies Betting Preview

The Phillies have certainly brought the lumber to the Bronx in this series. Through two games, they have outscored the Yankees 21-9.

This afternoon, they should continue to add to that total as they face Carlos Rodon.

Rodon has had an excellent 2025 campaign, by far his best in pinstripes, but this Phillies lineup has the tools to get to him.

The key for Philly against Rodon will be discipline.

Rodon has relied heavily on generating whiffs this season, but has also shown issues with command as his walk rate sits in the 34th percentile.

Philadelphia has been solid against lefties, boasting the second-best hard-hit rate against them while also holding an above-average walk rate.

Additionally, the conditions are expected to boost their power, as they also rank second in line drive rate and 15th in fly ball rate.

The wind will be blowing out at Yankee Stadium, so with the power the Phillies possess, we should see the bats continue to roll as they go for a sweep.

New York Yankees Betting Preview

As for the Yankees, they were dealt a big blow yesterday as Aaron Judge was put on the IL with a flexor strain.

The injury will keep him out for an extended period of time, and without his presence, this Yankees lineup is vulnerable.

They are really going to be put to the test as they have to contend with Zack Wheeler.

Wheeler remains one of the best and most consistent arms in the league.

Not only can Wheeler generate whiffs, but he also produces a ton of weak contact, unlike his counterpart.

We should see Wheeler attack this deflated Yankees lineup and work quickly on his way to another quality start.

Phillies vs Yankees Prediction, Betting Analysis

If the first two games of the series haven't shown it, these are two teams trending in opposite directions.

With Zack Wheeler on the mound and their lineup rolling, the Phillies are the side to take here.

Back them to complete the series sweep emphatically.

Pick: Phillies ML (-130)
