Check out the King Green vs. Esteban Ribovics prediction for UFC 332 on Saturday, October 3, along with my betting preview and breakdown.

On a main card somewhat lacking in star-power, there is a bout guaranteed to deliver if you enjoy action and entertainment. King Green steps inside the cage for the 4th time in 2026, and will be looking to move to 4-0. I could stop there, as it seems his current form has been one that keeps people talking each and every time he fights.

However, his opponent is a step-up in competition, leaving Green the underdog once more. Esteban Ribovics is squarely in his prime and presents a high-volume dance partner in what should be a fight of the night candidate. Let’s dive in and breakdown the best betting angle.

Here's my Green vs. Ribovics pick and prediction.

King Green is 40 years of age, yet it seems his skills have not diminished in any apparent manner. His incredibly slick boxing and unique style have always made him a difficult out for any lightweight, but it is his toughness and willingness to press the action that have gained him even more fanfare at an advanced age.

Most remarkably, he is one of the most active fighters on the UFC roster. This will be Green’s fifth fight since December of 2025. Green was coming off a knockout loss in his previous appearance prior to that, but has since racked up four consecutive victories in less than a calendar year.

Green thrives when he can fight behind his jab and counter attack with the heavier shots. His 6.4 significant strikes landed per minute display the perfect balance he implements. Usually, predominant counter-strikers find themselves low volume at times, but Green takes more chances than most while still being defensively sound, as his head movement must be on point with how low he chooses to keep his hands.

Green is an extremely underrated wrestler. It would behoove him to attempt to drag Ribovics to the mat and slow down the volume of strikes coming back his way. Ribovics has struggled on the mat, albeit, most of that evaluation came against an elite grappler in Mateusz Gamrot. Green can use timely shot attempts to stymie the kicking attack of Ribovics, making him think twice before unleashing the array of kicks he uses as the threat of one being caught and used in a takedown may be enough to make him hesitate.

This analysis may be sounding like I am leaning towards Green as the value side, but rather, it is simply to acknowledge why the oddsmakers have assigned the betting line to be as close as it is currently at around +190 for the underdog. Ribovics has several advantages that I believe will ultimately lead to the undoing of the 40 year old fighter.

Not only is Ribovics in his athletic prime, but his high-volume style matches up well with Green. Green is much more comfortable defensively when he can slip single shots coming in his direction. Ribovics is the type of kickboxer that can string together combinations. His ability to transition between kicks and punches will make it difficult for Green to download his striking pattern.

Ribovics has also shown the ability to land low kicks in abundance until he is ready to go high with a kick that has fight-ending intentions. I would not be surprised if that is exactly how this fight ends. Keep in mind, Green absorbed 40 significant strikes to the head during round one in his last fight versus Terrance McKinney less than three months ago.

If Green cannot execute a gameplan that resembles his victory over Daniel Zellhuber earlier this year, things are going to turn out much differently than they did in his comeback victory over the much less skilled McKinney. Green has a good chin, historically, but he has taken an incredible amount of damage over the course of his career and has been knocked out on four occasions since turning 35 years of age.

Green vs. Ribovics Pick, Prediction

As mentioned, I am not discounting how dangerous and well-rounded Green is at this point of his career. However, this play is about finding the best value out of all angles when looking at this matchup and it really is as simple as the level of competition. The task at hand for Green is considerably more difficult than any opponent he has faced in his four-fight winning streak.

Ribovics’ destruction of Edson Barboza is foreshadowing the result of this bout against another aging fighter. If not for poor judging, Ribovics would be a winner of six of his last seven fights, with his only loss coming at the hands of Gamrot. Ribovics has the edge in power and once he gets into rhythm it will only be a matter of time until he finds a stoppage by way of knockout.

John's Picks: Esteban Ribovics by KO/TKO +125 (BetMGM)
