Maryland Eastern Shore lost to Georgia Tech by just four points in its first game of the season, finessing us all into thinking this team might be competitive.
But the next game was a disaster, as the Hawks scored just 29 points.
Like most teams in the MEAC, the Hawks will continue to struggle with the talent pool that they're able to attract.
The first game might also be just an indication of just how bad Georgia Tech is, not necessarily a good measuring stick for Maryland Eastern Shore.
The Hawks' only win this season has come against a non-Division I opponent. The Hawks have also started the season 361st or worse in the three main shooting categories.
The worst part of this is they play a very slow style of offense, so they're just very inefficient when they have the ball.
Their lone bright spot has actually been their defensive efficiency, but they're catching Creighton in what is a terrible spot.

Admittedly, I expected this Creighton team to be better from a talent perspective than it was last season. A match up against a top-10 team in the nation was the perfect spot to showcase that.
The Bluejays were blown out of the water, though.
The next two games for Creighton will be a nice break, before it has to face Baylor and Iowa State in back-to-back games. Both of those teams are ranked in the top 20 of KenPom.
Expect the Jays to utilize their size to get whatever they want offensively and defensively in this matchup.

The Jays come in with a load of experience, averaging 1.89 seasons of Division I experience from their starters.
With all of that experience, they also come in ranking top-30 in size.
It’s going to be a very tough matchup for the Hawks to contain them on the glass.
I expect Creighton to win the rebounding battle by a big margin and capitalize on all its extra possessions.
I would be willing to lay anything under -36 on this one. Creighton is looking for a bounce back, and the Hawks are their unfortunate victim.
