College basketball bettors are loading up on marquee programs on Tuesday night, but some sharp money has come in on the other sides.

We’ll examine The Action Network’s market data to see whether there are any profitable contrarian opportunities, betting system matches and more below. This data is not a blind endorsement of these teams, but a good starting point.

All betting data comes from our public betting page (ticket count is free, but money percentages are available only to EDGE subscribers).

Betting trends are available for free in The Action Network app, while more advanced betting systems are available to Sports Insights subscribers via Bet Labs.

Biggest Betting Ticket/Money Discrepancies

We track both betting tickets on a given game and the percentage of money that’s been bet on each side. If there’s a big discrepancy, there’s likely some sharper, larger bets on the opposite side.

Here are the three biggest discrepancies for Tuesday as of 3:30 p.m. ET. This data will change as we get closer to tip offs (Minimum 1,000 bets).

  • 34% difference
  • Line move: Indiana +3 to +2

Bet Labs Pro Trend

Over at Bet Labs, we’ve created historically profitable betting systems for every sport. Tonight, there are six games that fit a profitable user-generated or PRO system, including this one:

Fade Top 5 Team in Conference Play

This system is pretty simple: bet against top 5 teams (by the AP Poll’s measure) in conference play if they’re favored by seven or fewer points. These teams are consistently overvalued, and against tougher competition, they fail to cover pretty often.

This system has gone 99-63-6 (61%) ATS since 2012. Virginia Tech +4.5 vs. Duke fits the system tonight.

You can create your own betting systems, and get access to all our PRO systems, by signing up for a trial of Bet Labs here.

Sharp Money Indicators

Each day, we’ll highlight one game from our sharp report page that has multiple indicators of sharp action.

Bettors are all over the MAC on Tuesday night, and Ball State has received contrarian support and seen reverse line movement to move from +1 to -1 at home against Toledo.
