Huskies 2023 Schedule & Betting Odds
Washington Huskies Football
Head coach Jimmy Lake took the helm for the Huskies for the first time last season, and he got off to a hot start. While the Huskies were able to play only four games, they won their first three before being upset by Stanford in the season finale.
With the third-best odds to win the Pac-12 coming into the 2021 season, oddsmakers expect the success to continue in Seattle.
You can find all of the Huskies' odds above, as well as their against-the-spread (ATS) record, schedule for their remaining games, key injuries, depth charts and more.
Washington Huskies Point Spreads
Despite their strong record, the Huskies were a disappointment to sportsbooks (and spread bettors) last season. Oddsmakers installed them as favorites in every single game, but they were able to cover the spread only once. "Covering the spread" is a reference to a spread bet, which is a bet on how much a team will win the game by.
Here’s how a Huskies spread might look:
- Utah +9.5 (-110)
- Washington -9.5 (-110)
If the Huskies win 24-21, they’re still losers ATS, since they need to win by at least 10 points to cash spread tickets. Utah, on the other hand, can cover with a loss of nine or fewer points, or with an outright win.
Washington Huskies Over/Unders
While betting on Huskies spreads was a losing proposition last year, betting on their over/unders was a toss-up. They finished a perfectly-even 2-2 on over/unders — bets on the total amount of points scored in a game — so no matter which side you took, you came out roughly even.
Oddsmakers set the total at how many points they think will be scored, so it could be 47 for a game against Utah, for example. If you took the under, a 24-21 final means your bet pays off no matter who wins the game. If you bet over, you’d need there to be at least 48 points scored between the two teams. Ties on the bet are possible, and they result in refunds.
Washington Huskies Moneylines
As heavy favorites in each of their games, betting on Huskies moneylines wasn’t much fun either, despite their solid record. Since moneyline odds take into account how likely a team is to win the game and adjust payouts accordingly, a winning record doesn’t always mean a profit.
Washington defeating Utah as a -300 favorite is fine, but a $30 bet pays out just $10. If you’re able to catch the Huskies as a +300 underdog, though, a $10 bet on them profits $30. These bets are simplest to understand with $10 or $100 as a unit, but the math is the same regardless.
Washington Huskies Props
With a pair of former four-star recruits in Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan manning the outside receiver slots, the Huskies' passing attack could be fun this year. You could bet on it being explosive by betting on their player props.
Player props are bets on the stats put up by a player for a single game. You could bet over or under on Odunze's and McMillan's receptions, yards, or touchdowns, or bet on other players' rushing or passing stats as well.
Washington Huskies Futures
While they’re flying a little under the radar thanks to sharing the Pac-12 with USC and Oregon, the Huskies have a real shot at taking down the conference this season. If you think they’re going to do just that, you can put your money down on a futures bet.
Futures are wagers that settle at the end of the season, and besides odds to win the conference, popular futures bets include players' odds to win certain end-of-season awards or over/unders on team wins throughout the year.
