BetMGM has opened a new retail sportsbook at Tailgate Beach Club, the sports-focused dayclub at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The new setup gives eligible guests a way to place bets at an outdoor wagering window without leaving the poolside atmosphere.
Located near Allegiant Stadium on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, Tailgate Beach Club is built around live sports, large-screen viewing, food, drinks, entertainment, and VIP seating. The addition of the BetMGM Sportsbook turns it into a new option for fans who want to watch major events and place wagers in person.
It also comes on the heels of the announcement of new player tools and rewards. Las Vegas casinos were also recently ranked among the best in the world.
A Different Kind of Sportsbook
Most Las Vegas sportsbooks are indoor spaces with rows of seats and wall-to-wall television screens. This venue takes a different approach.
At Tailgate Beach Club, guests can follow games from the pool deck, reserve a cabana, relax in a lounge chair, or gather with friends while live odds and sports content appear across the venue’s LED displays. The club currently promotes five pools, 22 VIP cabanas, and 145 feet of LED screens for game viewing.
The new outdoor betting window allows visitors to make wagers in person. Guests can also sign up for the BetMGM app on-site, providing another way to access betting options where permitted.
One Account for Mobile and Retail Betting
BetMGM says its account system is designed to make it easier for customers to move between mobile and retail betting. In participating locations, players can use the same account and wallet balance across BetMGM’s app and its physical sportsbooks.
That means a visitor may be able to create or use an existing account at the club, place a wager at the retail window, and later access the same account through the BetMGM app. Availability depends on local rules and the customer’s location, since betting products and markets vary by state. BetMGM offers mobile sports betting through its website and apps for iOS and Android devices.
Expanding BetMGM’s Las Vegas Presence
The Tailgate Beach Club location adds to BetMGM’s larger sportsbook footprint at MGM Resorts properties in Las Vegas. It is also the company’s first sportsbook experience designed specifically for a poolside setting.
The move reflects a broader shift in how Las Vegas visitors experience sports. Major events now draw fans who want more than a traditional sportsbook or sports bar. They often look for venues that combine live games, social spaces, entertainment, food, drinks, and premium viewing areas.
Tailgate Beach Club is positioned for that type of crowd. The 21-and-over venue hosts football programming, college sports, NFL Sundays, combat sports, basketball, and other major events throughout the year. It also offers free general admission with an RSVP, along with reservable seating, cabanas, and group packages.
