- Pick: Lions -6.5 if available.
Detroit is the preferred side, but I would rather lay -6.5 than chase the Lions through a full touchdown.
Jets vs. Chiefs (New Jersey)
Jets vs. Chiefs kicks off at 1 p.m. ET from Arrowhead Stadium on CBS.
- Kansas City enters 5-2 as a double-digit favorite.
- New York is 2-6.
- The Jets are getting around +10 after opening closer to +9.5.
- New York has covered three of four games as an underdog this season.
- Pick: Jets +10.
Kansas City should win, but a full 10 points gives the Jets room to lose by more than one score and still cover. I would prefer the full +10 rather than taking New York if the market falls back toward +9 or +9.5.
Giants vs. Eagles (Pennsylvania)
Giants vs. Eagles kicks off at 1 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field on FOX.
- The Giants have moved from an opening underdog to roughly a 3.5-point favorite.
- Philadelphia is 2-6 and has lost five straight.
- Jalen Hurts is out, while the Eagles are also dealing with multiple injuries at receiver and running back.
- New York is 5-2 against the spread this season.
- Pick: Giants -3.5.
This market has flipped dramatically because of Philadelphia's quarterback situation. Even with the move, the Giants remain the preferred side against an Eagles team that has struggled both straight up and against the spread.
