Cowboys Draft Picks
- Round 1: 17th overall
- Round 2: 51st overall
- Round 3: 82nd overall
- Round 4: 123rd overall
- Round 5: 164th overall
- Round 5: 179th overall**
- Round 7: 231st overall
This will be a pretty standard draft for the Dallas Cowboys, who have seven total picks and will make their first at 17th overall after an 8-8 campaign in 2019.
Considering they’re loaded on offense, they’re likely to target a defensive player in the first round. Our in-house draft analyst Matthew Freedman has mocked former LSU linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson to the Cowboys at 17.
They’ll make two picks over the span of 15 during the fifth round on Day 3 thanks to a compensatory pick at 179th overall. After that, they won’t be on the clock again for another 52 picks until making their final selection at 231st overall in the final round — they traded their sixth-rounder to Miami in exchange for linebacker Robert Quinn back in 2019.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the Cowboys’ overall draft profile:
- Total number of 2020 picks: 7
- Number of 2020 picks traded away: 1
- Number of 2020 picks acquired via trade: 1
- Number of 2020 compensatory picks: 0
