Everett has enjoyed a productive first season as a Charger, with 43 catches on 65 targets over 11 games. Excluding the Week 10 contest when he left early with an injury, Everett has cleared this line in seven of his 10 full games.

And yes, I can hear you screaming at me, “The Chargers offense is finally healthy!” Even with Mike Williams and Keenan Allen both in action, I still like Everett.

To start, the Dolphins have allowed six catches per game to tight ends, the second-highest mark in the NFL. Per Football Outsider’s DVOA metric, they rank 29th covering the position.

Defensively, the Dolphins employ man coverage at a top-five rate. Everett has pulled in 14 catches against man coverage this season, the second-best mark on the Chargers. And he’s also received 33% of his targets against man coverage, also the second highest on the team.

Man coverage typically favors the tight end as a check-down option over running backs, so I like Everett to steal some of Austin Ekeler’s typical looks.

Plus, the Dolphins' rush defense is stout, ranking ninth in DVOA. This reads as a pass-heavy game for Justin Herbert and company.

Tonight, I have Everett projected for five receptions.
