Barry? Barry, is that you?
Detroit Lions' halfback Jahmyr Gibbs has had unprecedented success to start the season. After rushing for 1223 yards and 13 touchdowns on five yards per carry in 2025, Gibbs is on a record pace this season.
He's also making history in DraftKings' Anytime Touchdown market.
DraftKings has priced Gibbs at -450 to score against the Cardinals on Sunday. In other words, if you want to bet that Gibbs will score six points this week, you would have to wager $450 to make $100 back. This line breaks the record for the lowest price to score a touchdown since Action Network has tracked that data.

Sonic the Lion: 540 Yards, Seven Touchdowns
After Detroit traded running back David Montgomery to Houston in March, many wondered whether Knuckles' departure might lead to a down season for Sonic. Through four outings, Number 0 has silenced those doubts with 540 scrimmage yards and seven scores. Those seven touchdowns put Gibbs on pace to eclipse 30 touchdowns this season, a rarified air where only 2006 LaDainian Tomlinson (31 scores) resides.
Gibbs' speed, balance, and decisiveness have left defenders stumped. He has logged no fewer than 77 yards and a touchdown in every game this season.
Perhaps, this trend should surprise no one. Since December 3, 2023, Gibbs hasn't gone consecutive games without scoring a touchdown. Remember, over the past three years, he shared Detroit's backfield with Montgomery, who was often utilized in the redzone. It's no shock that increased goalline touches have boosted Gibbs' profile this season (he has four scores from within the one-yard line).
Detroit's superstar is aided by a young offensive line, led by three-time First-Team AP All-Pro Penei Sewell. Whether through inside, wide, or outside zones, Sonic never misses a lane if there are coins (or yards) to be picked up.
Gibbs' performances in Weeks 1 and 3 epitomize his season thus far. Against the Saints on September 13, Gibbs rushed for 156 yards on 5.4 YPC with two touchdowns. He added five receptions for 30 yards to the tally. In a matchup against the Jets on September 27, Sonic rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns, adding seven receptions for 65 yards and a third score.
Those two performances comprise Detroit's only wins of the season, showing a direct correlation between Gibbs' proficiency and the Lions' success. In fact, the Lions haven't won a game where Gibbs didn't find paydirt since November 28, 2024.
Sunday's Opponent: The Arizona Cardinals (1-3)
The Lions' matchup this week makes a Gibbs score all the more likely. The Arizona Cardinals are on a three-game losing streak and have allowed 31+ points in each of those matchups. Over that span, Arizona's defense (which does not feature a single All-Pro outside of safety Budda Baker) has allowed 130 rushing yards a game. Most of those games have been shootouts, not leading to many scores on the ground.
Still, Gibbs has proved himself as a weapon through the air — logging 186 yards and two touchdowns so far. Keep an eye out for Jared Goff targeting Number 0 on screens, slants, and angles all afternoon.
The Cardinals are allowing 29.3 points and 351.3 yards per game this season, fourth and ninth-most in the league, respectively. If the Lions intend to get the season back on track after a nail-biting loss to Carolina, they will need to take advantage of this game.
There are 13 games remaining in the regular season, but things look phenomenal for Gibbs at the moment, and the sportsbooks will take advantage of that for as long as possible.
