Fresh off their bye week, the 49ers offense continues to get healthier with star wide receiver Deebo Samuel and running back Elijah Mitchell back in the fold. Meanwhile, the Chargers continue to deal with the injury bug as Mike Williams and Keenan Allen are sidelined once again.

The spread heavily favors the 49ers (-7.5), which has me leaning toward a fade of Jimmy Garoppolo's passing attempts.

Entering Sunday, Jimmy G has averaged 25.8 pass attempts and has not surpassed 30 in all four of his wins this season. His average increases to 35.7 in losses.

The Chargers' notable weakness, stopping the run, is a significant reason why I think Jimmy G does not need to air it out. They rank 28th in DVOA vs. the run and 31st in rush EPA/play — running backs are averaging a robust 134.1 yards per game (second-most) against them.

The 49ers offense ranks fifth in total DVOA when playing at home. Los Angeles' inability to stop the run and a game script that will not require Jimmy G to throw is the combo needed for this prop to hit tonight.
