THE BLITZ is forecasting 1.06 receptions for Brashard Smith compared to 1.99 receptions implied by sportsbooks, so I believe there is some value here. If you take the under, you’d be projected to win 69% of the time, resulting in a 49% ROI. Based on a $100 wager, the expected value here would be $48.74. (This play is good down to at least -125.) Playing on ProphetX Juju led all KC pass catchers in snap% last week (78%) & in routes run (35) despite Worthy being back and saw 6 targets. He’s caught 4+ balls in 3/4 games this season and continues to be on the field a ton. He’s avg a 5.2 ADOT as well so most of his targets are high% catch rate. JAC has allowed: 3rd most pass attempts 8th most WR receptions/game 10th most completions They’ve also has been great against the run thus far and KC’s run game has been one of the worst so I wouldn’t be surprised to see KC lean on their pass game in this matchup.

Our model has the Jaguars winning outright 24.94 - 21.77. However, we’re keeping this to just a 1-unit play, as I still don’t fully trust this team. Their defense leads the league in takeaways, which has created some unsustainable variance. Tonight serves as a prove it type of game.

Pacheco has cleared this in back-to-back games but I think this is a good time to sell high on him in this spot. Pacheco has faced stacked boxes on only 6% of his rush attempts, which is the lowest rate in the league. It makes sense as defenses are much more worried about Mahomes than a Pacheco run play. Despite the favorable run conditions he is averaging just 4.0 yards per carry (-0.5 below expected per NextGenStats). Not only do the Jaguars have a solid run defense (ranked 9th in DVOA) but they seem perfectly equipped to slow down Pacheco here because they have stacked the box at a league-low rate of 7%. They have gotten good run support from all three levels of the defense with LB Foyesade Oluokun leading a LB group that has 17 run stops. Safety Eric Murray (former Texan) has been a difference maker as well, posting 4 stops with an average depth of tackle at 5.8 yards downfield, which has been key in limiting explosive runs. CB Tyson Campbell has also been excellent in run support with 3 stops himself and could be key with Pacheco bouncing outside more than usual this year. Therefore, the Jaguars have not needed to stack the box since the entire unit has been solid in run support, which should make it even tougher for Pacheco to get going. Rookie Brashard Smith is starting to get more involved in the offense, which has pushed Kareem Hunt to be even more involved on early downs (along with Smith) at the expense of Pacheco. The one area Pacheco was still able to lead the team in usage was in the two-minute offense, which is not ideal in terms of rushing production. I also think the Jaguars +3.5 is getting most of the sharp action tonight and the Chiefs probably have a higher chance of facing a trailing game script than the prop market is implying. Plus, the Jaguars run game has been super efficient this year and has allowed them to dominate time of possession, which could eat into KC’s overall volume. All of this leads me to have Pacheco’s median closer to 25 yards with around a 61% chance to stay under 29.5.

Has had 89-plus in 3 of 4 games this year, averaging 106.5. Chiefs' defense has sneakily struggled against the run, ranking dead last in schedule-adjusted early-down rush EPA and in EPA per carry allowed to running backs.

Sounds like his ankle is okay, and the Chiefs treated him like the shoulder was okay last week with 8 targets and 2 carries. Went over this number in 5 of 7 games after becoming an every-down player last year and has done it in 1 of 2 this year.

Jaguars don't generate a ton of pressure and now likely won't have Travon Walker. Chiefs also haven't allowed much pressure this year. Mahomes runs most when it's absolutely necessary, and with the AFC West slipping a bit, that may not be the case anymore.

Jags turnover rate unsustainable but Chiefs have also been lucky on that front (plus 4th downs especially for a non sneak team). Jags remain undervalued due to schematic upgrades on O/D + great special teams. They do have 2 potential injuries worth watching on D with Murray and Walker but give me the cheap 3 with King Coen.

Jacksonville Jaguars Odds, Bet Types, and Team History

The Jacksonville Jaguars have long been a team that was expected to break out in a big way, but they still haven't quite gotten to the point of meeting expectations. The Jaguars are in a pivotal year with quarterback Trevor Lawrence at the helm. The Jacksonville offense remains packed with talent around Lawrence, including rookie breakout star Brian Thomas Jr. and walking highlight reel Travis Hunter.

The primary issue with the Jaguars has been their defense in recent seasons and this is not likely to change in 2025. However, if the Jaguars can simply score in bunches to outpace their lack of a defense, they could win enough games to sneak into the AFC playoff picture.

The Jaguars begin the 2025-26 season with a home matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sep. 7.

How to Bet on the Jacksonville Jaguars

If you're looking to bet on the Jacksonville Jaguars from a state where sports betting is legal, don't forget to use the BetMGM bonus code to unlock special offers.

Moneyline

Moneyline bets are quite simple -- here's an example:

  • Jaguars +145
  • Texans -175

The minus (-) and plus (+) signs distinguish the favorite from the underdog, making Houston the favorite in this scenario. Odds can be understood more clearly if you think in terms of $10 or $100 increments. A wager on the Jaguars' odds would mean every $100 wagered wins $650. And it's the opposite for the favorite: Here, the Texans moneyline was set at -175, meaning a $175 wager would profit $100 since Philly was the favorite.

Moneylines are also commonly used when making parlays, which are multiple bets tied into one. Let’s say you bet the Jaguars moneyline and a -2.5 point spread. Jacksonville would need to win by three points or more for that bet to be successful. The risk is greater, but so is the reward with increased odds. Use our Odds Calculator to calculate any bet amount or conversion.

FAQ: How to bet on the moneyline | How to make a parlay

Point Spread

Point spread bets are bets on the margin of victory. Here’s an example:

  • Patriots +6.5 (+110)
  • Jaguars -6.5 (-110)

In this situation, the Patriots are 6.5-point underdogs against the Jaguars. If Jacksonville wins the game by 7+ points, a $100 wager on the Jaguars would come with a payout of $90.91. If Houston won the game outright or lost by six points or fewer, the same $100 wager would net $110 plus the original $100 for a total of $210.

FAQ: Everything you need to know about point spreads

Over/Under

Over/under, also called the total, is a wager placed on the combined scoring of a single game. Bookmakers come up with a number, and you can bet on the over or — you guessed it — the under. Here’s how it works:

Let's say the Packers play the Jaguars, and the over/under is set at 46 points. A wager on the over would require Tennessee and Jacksonville to score 47 points or more to win. Betting the under is an expectation that the two teams would score 45 or fewer points. It's also possible for the bet to push, which would happen if the game finished with exactly 46 points scored.

FAQ: Betting the point total, explained | What is a push?

Jaguars Props

Player props are wagers on a single player, and they're tied to a single stat found in the box score for a game or even the entire season. These are among the most fun to bet on, especially if you're already playing fantasy football and like the player-specific focus it offers. Here are two examples from below:

  • Trevor Lawrence passing yards: 3800.5
  • Trevor Lawrence passing TDs: 22.5

FAQ: How prop betting works

Jaguars Futures

Futures are somewhat similar to prop bets in that both are monitored throughout the season. Except most future bets are focused on end-of-season success. Examples of futures are:

  • Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the AFC South: +290
  • Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the AFC: +3000
  • Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the Super Bowl: +7000
  • Trevor Lawrence's odds to win MVP: +4500

Check out a full list of NFL futures if you want to back or fade the Jaguars in 2025.

Jaguars Futures

Futures are somewhat similar to prop bets in that both are monitored throughout the season. Except most future bets are focused on end-of-season success. Examples of futures are:

  • Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the AFC South: +290
  • Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the AFC: +3000
  • Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the Super Bowl: +7000
  • Trevor Lawrence's odds to win MVP: +4500
