Texans vs Jaguars Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks
Last week, I was all over Jaguars TE Brenton Strange at +300 because I wanted to avoid the Eagles' outside corners.
Well, I got kicked in the face because Strange was targeted eight times and tackled inside the five-yard line TWICE. Ouch!
In times like this, I say we go right back to him because, much like the Eagles, the Texans secondary is a bit stronger on the outside and I expect them to fully gameplan on stopping WR Parker Washington (good luck with that!).
Strange, who has eight targets in back-to-back games, may as well be a WR3 in this offense because he runs a route on 71% of dropbacks while only trailing Washington in targets per route run (TPRR).
I wouldn’t be against WR Jakobi Meyers at +350, but I'm getting Strange one more time.
Pick: Brenton Strange Anytime Touchdown (+370)
Part of me wants to take WR Marvin Harrison Jr. at +400 just to try and get ahead of the market. If he manages to score in London after being traded, he won’t be above +250 for the rest of the season.
But instead, I think we pair Dalton Schultz with Strange and go full tight end in London.
Part of the reason why I want to go Schultz is because the Texans are finally starting to play with a full deck at wide receiver and that should aid Schultz in seeing better coverage matchups.
For much of the season, Schultz has operated as the second option behind WR Nico Collins. With Collins healthy and Harrison now in the fold, this could be the opportunity we’re looking for.
I expect the Jaguars to do everything they can to neutralize Collins and if they do roll coverage over to blanket him, look for Schultz to get more looks as he’s the only Texan beside Collins to get an end-zone target in each of the last three games.
Pick: Dalton Schultz Anytime Touchdown (+340, DraftKings)
