A matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and the Colorado Avalanche screams offense.

There are five 100+ point scorers playing in this game. That is absolutely insane. Of course, I am referring to Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Nathan MacKinnon, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Mikko Rantanen.

Both of these teams have something to play for as they are seeking first place in their respective divisions, so this game can certainly be a barn burner.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers have consistently been the best offensive team in the league this season thanks to McDavid, Draisaitl and Nugent-Hopkins. In the last five games, these three have combined for 23 points. McDavid and Draisaitl have both tallied four goals with four assists, while Nugent-Hopkins has added two goals and five assists of his own.

As a team, the Oilers are averaging 3.98 goals per game, which is the most in the league, and they also have the top power-play which is at a 32.5%.

Dating back to last year's playoff series, the Oilers have lost six straight games to the Avalanche, including losing both meetings this season in overtime. Edmonton is currently two points back of the Vegas Golden Knights for first place in the Pacific.

The Oilers have scored 20 goals in their last five games, getting contributions from all four lines of forwards. Their offense should help carry them tonight and hopefully beat the Avalanche for the first time in quite a while.

Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche have caught fire in the second half of the season and are entering this game riding a five-game winning streak while also going 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.

MacKinnon and Rantanen have been lights-out in this final stretch of the season. During this five-game win streak, these two have combined for 26 points, MacKinnon with seven goals and five assists and Rantanen has added six goals and eight assists. They truly look unstoppable.

As a team, the Avalanche have scored 24 goals in their last five games and are averaging 3.35 goals per game with their power-play skating to a 25.1% on the season.

The Avalanche are currently generating the fifth most scoring chances per game (12.76) and eighth highest shots on goal per game (33.4).

Everything is clicking right now for this team and I don't think Edmonton's blue line will be able to slow them down.

Oilers vs. Avalanche Pick

There is a ton of offensive talent on both sides in this matchup and the fact that both teams still have something to play for this late in the season is going to make it all the more exciting.

The over has hit in the Avalanche's last six straight games and the Oilers happen to be 6-0 in their last six road games.

A lot of attention will be on the five 100+ point scorers that are playing in this game and hopefully they don't disappoint. I want to see a ton of scoring. I'm going with the over.
