The 2026 FIFA World Cup Match Up Tool lets you compare any two teams from this summer's 48-team field across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. With the knockout rounds now underway, pick a matchup and you'll see Action Network's per-game projections — win probability, projected score, and goal total — alongside FIFA and Elo ratings and the two sides' full World Cup head-to-head record back to 1930. You'll also get each team's form through the tournament so far, its days of rest before the next match, and full squad lists.

The four tabs — Matchup, Bets, History, and Form — surface the inputs Action Network's projections team uses to handicap the tournament. That includes Action Network's in-house tournament model, which drives each team's title odds, stage-by-stage progression probabilities, projected group-stage records, and most-likely exit round, plus current sportsbook lines on the Bets tab.

Ratings, odds, and form update through the warm-up window and into the group stage — Elo and betting markets daily, FIFA rankings at each official release, and squads and friendly results as matches are played — while the Action models and per-game projections from Nick Giffen refresh whenever Action Network reruns it. Scroll past the tool for matches with predictions and projected lines.

World Cup 2026: Final Results and Action Network Projections

Spain are world champions. Below are the results from the final weekend of the 2026 World Cup, with how Action Network's projections graded out. Use the tool above to explore any team's full tournament path.

3:00 PM ET: Spain vs Argentina — World Cup Final

Venue: MetLife Stadium, New York/New Jersey · Final

  • Result: Spain 1, Argentina 0 — Spain win the 2026 World Cup
  • Projection: Spain 45% · Draw 25% · Argentina 29% · projected score Spain 1.5, Argentina 1.2
  • FIFA ranks: Spain #2, Argentina #1 · Elo: 2232 vs 2200

The model had Spain as the narrow favorite and the final broke that way, though tighter than projected — the 2.5 goal total went under. Spain entered the tournament as a co-favorite at +450 alongside France, and became just the fifth team since 1962 to enter as the market favorite and actually lift the trophy. Argentina fall short of back-to-back titles; no nation has repeated since Brazil in 1962.

5:00 PM ET: France vs England — Third Place Match

Venue: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami · Third place

  • Result: England 6, France 4 — England finish third
  • Projection: France 40% · Draw 26% · England 34% · projected score France 1.4, England 1.3
  • FIFA ranks: France #3, England #4 · Elo: 2121 vs 2074

An outlier in every direction. The ten goals made this the highest-scoring third-place match in World Cup history, passing France's 6–3 win over West Germany in 1958, and the highest-scoring knockout game of any kind since Austria beat Switzerland 7–5 in 1954. The projected total was 2.5. England claim their first third-place finish after losing this match in both 1990 and 2018.
