The picture atop Kalshi's fantasy football wide receiver market keeps changing shape. Puka Nacua sits on top, now trading at 35 cents after starting around a nickel back in May. What's different is who's chasing him: Jaxon Smith-Njigba has climbed out of the middle of the pack into a clear second, now priced at 27 cents.
Nacua earned that perch. He's turned into one of the sport's most complete wideouts, playing in a Rams offense built to let its lead pass catcher pile up points. But prediction markets don't pay out for spotting the obvious outcome: they pay out for finding where the crowd's price and the real chances don't match. At 35 cents, most of Nacua's case is already baked in.
Same goes for Smith-Njigba's move, which has more to do with a promising camp and an improving Seattle passing game than with a body of work. That leaves an opening elsewhere.

The rest of the field is still moving as camps wrap up, but the shape of the argument hasn't changed: St. Brown's price has ticked up since the spring, yet it still lags well behind what his production has looked like for three straight seasons.
Why The Market Still Isn't Sold
The reasoning behind the discount is easy to follow. Detroit doesn't build its offense around a single pass catcher.
Jahmyr Gibbs is among the league's most complete backs and pulls touches on the ground and through the air. Sam LaPorta remains a key part of the passing game. Jameson Williams brings a deep-play element few defenses can fully account for.
Set against Nacua or Chase, St. Brown works inside a more evenly spread attack, and that's the likely reason his price took this long to move. But the real question was never whether he has the cleanest path to the top spot. It's whether his odds beat the number the market has been giving him.
I think they do.
Detroit should again field one of the NFL's more productive offenses, and St. Brown remains Jared Goff's first read in the passing game. Few receivers pair his week-to-week target floor with his touchdown production, which hands him more than one route to finishing on top.
Verdict
Nacua's still the right favorite, and Smith-Njigba's rise is worth watching. Neither changes the math on St. Brown.
His price closing some of the distance, from roughly 12 cents in the spring to 18 cents now, is a partial correction, not the full one. Given how reliably he's produced, 18% still reads low next to receivers being priced on hope rather than history.
