What Kenyan Drake Raiders Signing Means For His & Josh Jacobs’ Fantasy Outlook

Kenyan Drake is on the move from Arizona.
The former Cardinals running back has agreed to a two-year, $11 million contract with the Raiders, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Thursday.
The deal is worth up to $14.5 million, Schefter added.
Drake, 27, played under the one-year transition tag for the Cardinals during the 2020 season worth $8.5 million. The team opted not to use the franchise tag this year or extend an offer for a long-term deal.
The Alabama product was drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft and spent the first three-and-a-half seasons as a member of the Dolphins. He was traded midway through the 2019 season to the Cardinals for a conditional sixth-round pick.
With David Johnson out of the picture as a result of the curious Cardinals-Texans trade ahead of free agency last season, Drake assumed the workhorse role in the Cardinals' backfield. He appeared in 15 games and posted a career-high 955 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns and reeled in 25 targets for 137 yards.
Drake joins 2019 first-rounder Josh Jacobs and Jalen Richard on the Las Vegas RB depth chart which creates quite the headache for fantasy football. Jacobs, 23, rushed for 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns and caught 45 passes for 238 yards across 15 games in 2020. The pair will likely be utilized in a running back committee going into 2021.
The Cardinals' decision to not re-sign Drake makes way for fourth-year RB Chase Edmonds to potentially step up into a workhorse role. The 24-year-old Edmonds saw a career-high 164 touches last season and posted 850 total scrimmage yards and five touchdowns.
