My Cowboys vs. Eagles Prediction on BetMGM
Monday Night Football closes Week 7 with two 2-4 NFC East teams at Lincoln Financial Field. Here's roughly where the current Cowboys-Eagles BetMGM market sits:
- Moneyline: Cowboys around -225 | Eagles around +185
- Spread: Cowboys -4.5 | Eagles +4.5
- Total: around 44
I'm backing Eagles +4.5 as my Cowboys vs. Eagles prediction.
Philadelphia is down to Tanner McKee at quarterback, which limits the ceiling of the offense, but getting more than a field goal at home is enough to keep me on the Eagles side.
The biggest reason is game script. Saquon Barkley is expected to return, and Philadelphia has every reason to lean on the run with Jalen Hurts unavailable and the receiving corps depleted. That should shorten the game and reduce the number of possessions Dallas gets to create separation.
The Cowboys have been the better offensive team, but they have not consistently controlled games on the ground. That matters against an Eagles team likely to prioritize possession, field position and keeping McKee out of obvious passing situations.
The total sitting around 44 also makes the 4.5 points more valuable. In a lower-scoring game, Philadelphia can lose by a field goal and still cover.
Dallas deserves to be favored, especially with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb facing a short-handed Philadelphia offense on the other side. I just don't want to lay more than a field goal on the road in a divisional game that could turn into a grind.
- Cowboys vs. Eagles Prediction: Eagles +4.5
