The Horizon League quarterfinals bring us a matchup between the No. 5 seed Oakland Grizzlies and the No. 4 seed Wright State Raiders.
The Horizon League Tournament is done a little differently than most conference tournaments. The first two rounds are spread out as they are played on the home court of the higher seed. They played the first round on Tuesday with the second round on Thursday — the winners will play in the semifinals on Monday in Indianapolis.
The Grizzlies were one of the favorites to win the Horizon before finishing the season with losses in three of their last four games. They are 20-11 overall and 13-7 in the conference and were +500 to win the conference tournament before it started. Oakland is still the highest-ranked team on KenPom in the conference in total efficiency.
The Raiders played themselves into a first-round bye and a home game in the second round by winning three of their last four games. They finished with a 15-7 record in the conference and 18-13 overall.
It should be a really good game between two teams with a chance to make a run in the Horizon and Action Network has tracked sharp action coming in on one side.
