Our Staff's 2026 MLB Postseason Picks
Dodgers to win World Series (+220)
The Dodgers won 18 of 23 games to round into form as they head into the postseason, and I don’t think anyone can stop this superteam. It’s too tough to beat them in a series when you have to face Tarik Skubal and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, not to mention Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow. Sure, Shohei Ohtani isn’t going to pitch, but there’s enough depth on this star-studded roster.
Aside from now having Skubal, a key difference with this year’s team is that they have a legit closer. While Edwin Diaz was a bust signing, Tanner Scott has been terrific. At this time last year, Roki Sasaki was closing games for the Dodgers. With a rotation of aces and a star closer, Los Angeles is perfectly built for the postseason. I’m willing to back the Dodgers at +220 at Caesars.

Shohei Ohtani NLCS MVP (+475)

The most likely NLCS matchup is once again the Los Angeles Dodgers versus the Milwaukee Brewers. These two squared off last year in the NLCS, and they are once again the best two teams in the National League.
They each have a bye this year and the best chance of making that rematch happen. However, the Brewers will have a tall task against the Dodgers once again if that is indeed the NLCS matchup.
Los Angeles swept Milwaukee in that round last year, in large part to Shohei Ohtani. In that series, Ohtani posted a .357 batting average, .500 slugging percentage and 1.143 OPS.
He added three home runs and a triple in just four games. Of course, he also added a tremendous performance on the mound, but the hitting is the focus this time around as Ohtani will not pitch this postseason.
Regardless, Ohtani is still the clear frontrunner to win this award for the team that is the clear frontrunner to win this series. He has shown he can dominate the Brewers in the postseason from a hitting perspective, and any other potential matchup should only prove easier.

Braves to win World Series (+1500)

I have a World Series ticket on the Braves that was placed prior to the regular season, and I remain confident in Atlanta. In fact, I’ve since added to my position at +1500 on DraftKings.
Despite a rather difficult path to glory in a loaded National League, the Braves boast a remarkably versatile lineup featuring the likes of Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, Drake Baldwin, Michael Harris, Austin Riley, Ozzie Albies, and several other elite sluggers.
Atlanta’s rotation doesn’t look particularly special on paper, aside from ace Chris Sale, but this club does boast several reliable arms, namely right-handers Tyler Mahle and Grant Holmes.
If lefty Martin Perez is able to return to action, Atlanta will have several efficient arms to rely upon, in addition to an impressive bullpen.
It would not surprise me in the slightest if the Braves reign supreme and claim the organization’s second World Series victory in the past five years (2021).
