Braves vs Marlins Expert MLB Picks

Story: Target Braves F5 and Ozzie on Tuesday Afternoon

The Braves continue on their divisional road trip in Miami, and are set to square off with the Marlins on Tuesday afternoon in the second of a four-game set at LoanDepot Park.

Below, I will briefly break down this matchup and provide a “same-game-parlay” selection that you can use as a betting angle ahead of Tuesday’s National League showdown.

Atlanta Braves F5 ML -

For the first leg of our SGP, I will be looking to target the Braves to prevail on their first-five moneyline (F5) mark ahead of Tuesday afternoon’s contest.

Atlanta lefty Martin Perez is set to take the mound for the visiting Braves, while lefty Braxton Garrett will be on the bump for the Marlins.

Miami’s left-hander only just returned to action this past week after having missed the entire 2025 season, having undergone UCL revision surgery.

In Braxton’s first start coming off the Injured-list, he got rocked, allowing five earned runs across just 1 ⅓ innings. While it’s just a one-game sample size, I am concerned about Garrett in the immediate future, considering the severity of a UCL tear.

For a starting pitcher who has still had a rather significant injury concern, Garrett gets an atrocious matchup on Tuesday afternoon versus a scorching lineup.

At the plate, Atlanta has arguably the most talented lineup in all of baseball, boasting tremendous versatility in the box.

The Braves lead all MLB lineups in batting average, RBI’s, and hits. They also rank third in home runs.

On the other hand, Braves’ left-hander Martin Perez is off to a stellar start to his 2026 campaign, with the 35-year-old veteran having posted a 2.24 ERA to go along with a 0.94 WHIP across his first nine outings.

In 12 collective plate-appearances versus this Marlins’ lineup, Perez has allowed just two hits, and I expect the first-year Brave to dazzle on Tuesday with another impressive start.

While the Marlins have a much-improved lineup this season, featuring several hard-contact hitters and Otto Lopez, who leads MLB in hits, I still think Atlanta has a significant advantage in starting pitching and hitting in this contest.

That said, I feel great backing the Braves on the F5 moneyline, which should be a solid foundation for our SGP ahead of Tuesday's NL East clash.

Atlanta Braves Player Prop: Ozzie Albies Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBI

For the second leg of Tuesday’s SGP, I will be targeting the Braves’ player props given my concerns about Garrett’s form on the mound.

While the Marlins’ lefty has actually had some prior success versus several of the Braves’ hitters, Atlanta second baseman (2B) Ozzie Albies has thrived in his five previous plate appearances.

In 5 at-bats (AB) versus Garrett, Ozzie has recorded four hits, including two doubles and an RBI. Albies is an elite switch-hitter who excels against righties but boasts exceptional power upside when facing lefties like Braxton.

Given that I expect Braves baserunners to frequent the basepaths in a matchup, the Marlins’ left-hander should be susceptible to heavy damage, I favor targeting Ozzie in the hits+runs+RBIs (HRR) market.

Albies started his 2026 season in scorching form but has since cooled down at the plate, having failed to record a hit in seven of his last nine games.

That said, Tuesday presents a prime opportunity for the Braves’ switch-hitter to bounce back out of his current slump versus a SP whom he has previously crushed.

Ozzie has since had far more value in his prop markets, considering he is in the midst of a slump, so he should have a far more favorable price in his HRR market on Tuesday.

I expect Albies to catch fire at the plate sooner rather than later, and think he has a prime matchup to find some form in the box.

For the second leg of our SGP, I will be backing Ozzie to exceed his 1.5 HRR mark, which should give us some solid value.
