  • Wednesday's ALCS Game 4 between the Red Sox and Astros (8:39 p.m. ET on TBS) opened with a total of 8.5.
  • Sports Insights' Bet Signals reveal which side of that total has attracted sharp money.

Through three games of the 2018 ALCS, the Red Sox and Astros have combined for 31 total runs. And with no games seeing fewer than nine runs, each game has gone over the closing total.

Unsurprisingly, most bettors are expecting a high-scoring affair once again on Wednesday night.

Using the The Action Network's betting tools and data, we analyzed how professional bettors are approaching tonight's game.

Sharp angle: Under 8/8.5

Sixty percent of bets are behind the over in Game 4, yet the total has fallen from 8.5 to 8 across most of the market.

While a few books are still hanging onto 8.5, they've at least juiced it up from -110 to -125.

The reason for the line fall? Sharp bettors at Pinnacle — the sharpest offshore sportsbook — have triggered two Sports Insights Bet Signals on the under, driving line movement across the entire market.

And for those curious, while it's a small sample size, when an MLB playoff series experiences an over streak of three games, the next game has gone under on six of nine occasions.
