  • Professional bettors are keying in on Tuesday's MLB slate considering there is no football.
  • Wiseguys have hit the Giants-Padres moneyline, as well as three other MLB games.

A September weeknight without football means an off night for many casual bettors. Sharps, however, are still hammering away at the MLB slate, as they've located four plays with value on Tuesday night.

Betting Terms to Know

Steam Move: Sudden, drastic and uniform line movement across the market caused by an overload of sharp action from respected players.

Reverse Line Movement: When the betting line moves in the opposite direction of the betting percentages. It’s a top smart money indicator.

Line Freeze: When one side is getting heavy betting, but the line won’t budge, indicating sharp liability on the other side.

Juice: The tax or commission that bettors must pay sportsbooks in order for them to accept your wager. A -115 juice means a bettor would have to wager $115 to win $100.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles

7:05 p.m. ET

Sharp angle: Under (moved from 9 to 8.5)

Aaron Sanchez and Dylan Bundy aren't exactly the names you'd attach to a potential low-scoring baseball game. The sum of their ERAs this season is in the double digits, and Bundy leads all of baseball in home runs allowed … by six.

With that said, it makes sense to see 78% of bettors on the over. This total, however, has fallen by one-half run, as sharps have triggered three steam moves on the under.

Chicago Cubs @ Arizona Diamondbacks

9:40 p.m. ET

Sharp angle: D-backs (moved from +100 to -101)

In a similar spot, the Diamondbacks are accounting for 50% of dollars wagered against the Cubs despite getting only 40% of bets. They've also triggered a steam move, and the line has moved a hair in their direction.

Los Angeles Angels @ Oakland Athletics

10:05 p.m. ET

Sharp angle: Angels (moved from +131 to +126)

The Angels are one of the more contrarian spots on tonight's board. They've drawn only 26% of bets and 19% of dollars, but this line has fallen nonetheless.

Steam moves from CRIS and Pinnacle — two of the sharpest offshore sportsbooks — have been triggered on LA which have helped contribute to the falling line.

San Francisco Giants @ San Diego Padres

10:10 p.m. ET

Sharp angle: Padres (moved from -123 to -134)

The Padres are in a rare spot as contrarian MLB favorites. They've landed only 38% of bets, but those have accounted for 49% of dollars, indicating more-balanced action overall.

Two steam moves have also been triggered on the Padres, which has moved this line more than 10 cents from its opening number.
