(Editor's notes: On Monday, UFC officials announced Sean Strickland has replaced injured middleweight Kelvin Gastelum in the UFC Vegas 67 main event. On Tuesday, Nick Aguirre replaced Isaac Dulgarian for undisclosed reasons and meets featherweight Daniel Argueta on the preliminary card. And on Friday, Sijara Eubanks was pulled from the card due to "weight-management issues," and her opening bout with flyweight Priscila Cachoeira was canceled.)

After a month off for the holidays and countless out-of-the-cage controversies during the downtime, the UFC sets up shop again this weekend with a lower-level fight card, which is also dubbed UFC Fight Night 217 and UFC on ESPN+ 75.
The UFC's first card of 2023 is noticeably light on star power. However, UFC Vegas 67, which kicks off at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. ET) on ESPN+, boasts some competitive matchups nonetheless.
In the main event, rising middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov (12-3), who was originally slated to fight former title challenger Kelvin Gastelum (16-8), now meets short-notice injury replacement Sean Strickland (25-5) at light heavyweight. Strickland also headlined the UFC's final event of 2022 and dropped a decision to Jared Cannonier.
In the co-main event, former featherweight contender Dan Ige (15-6) looks to snap out of a 1-4 skid when he meets Damon Jackson (22-4-1), who's resurrected his career with his current four-fight UFC winning streak.
