Editor's note: The Daytona 500 has postponed until Monday at 4 p.m. ET due to rain.

After NASCAR was forced to move up the Clash at the Coliseum an entire day because of rain, the Daytona 500 weather forecast shows that precipitation will once again be problematic.

Rain started falling at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, and Sunday's Daytona 500 is facing similar weather-related challenges as well.

On March 11, the Tar Heel State will launch North Carolina sports betting fully online.

According to the National Weather Service, there's a 90% chance of rain Sunday, which could be very heavy as well.

Specifically, there's potential for one to two inches of precipitation falling throughout the day. Clearly, this much rainfall would cause a delay, at the very least.

The hourly breakdown shows a 79% chance of rain from 4-6 p.m. ET on Sunday, suggesting that it may be difficult to get the Daytona 500 started at its scheduled 3:11 p.m. ET green flag time.

Those chances then dip to 59% from 7 p.m. ET through midnight.

For those wondering, Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass speculates that if rain does soak the track, it will take between 90-150 minutes to fully dry the surface.

Should NASCAR be forced to postpone the Daytona 500, Monday's forecast is much more promising, with just a 30% chance of rain.

Daytona 500 odds from Caesars show Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin as race co-favorites at +1000, with Brad Keselowski (+1100) and Kyle Busch (+1200) just behind.
