On Sunday, NASCAR returns to Austin, Texas to take on Circuit of the Americas (COTA) for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix (3:30 p.m. ET, FOX).

Tyler Reddick (+350) is the race favorite based on live NASCAR odds at bet365, followed by William Byron (+375), Ty Gibbs (+400) and Christopher Bell (+800).

Races at COTA can get a bit chaotic, so I'm zeroing in on the top-10 finish market for Sunday's EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix.

Michael McDowell is one of the Cup Series' top road course racers, and the stats back that up.

Since the Next Gen car was introduced before the start of the 2022 season, McDowell has one win, the fourth-best average running position, the fourth-most laps led and the fourth-best driver rating at road courses.

Over that sample of 12 races, the driver of the No. 34 Ford has seven top-10 finishes, so imagine my surprise seeing him at +225 odds to manage that feat Sunday at COTA.

Now, McDowell has yet to score a top 10 at COTA in this car – he has finishes of 12th and 13th – and he'll start back in 27th place, but that is clearly reflected (and more) in the current price of +225.

On top of his stellar road course record, McDowell posted the third-fastest five-lap average in practice, suggesting that his car is better in race trim than it was during qualifying.
