The Raptors are back to nearly full health and as a result it has changed some of the players’ roles and responsibilities. One player I’ve been keeping an eye on is Scottie Barnes. Barnes can dish with the best of them, but with Immanuel Quickley in the fold he is not needed as much in that regard. This season he has exceeded 5.5 assists in just 1/7 games when playing alongside of IQ. These last 6 games have been with IQ and he has seen his Assist% drop to 21.2% from his full season mark of 29.7%, per Cleaning the Glass. The Warriors play at a moderate Pace; however, they have the league’s eighth-best Adjusted Defense. Further, while Kuminga and Podziemski are expected to miss, Draymond Green should be good to go today which further bolsters the defense and specifically can make life more difficult for Barnes. Barnes is just 1/6 on this line against the Warriors including two games at 3 last season. I’ll grab under 5.5 assists.
