76ers vs. Knicks
By Alex Hinton
Coming out of the 2025 NBA Draft, VJ Edgecombe was regarded as an elite athlete, but his jumper may need some time.
However, in his rookie season, he may have shot a little better than expected at 35.4% from three, a slight increase from his freshman season at Baylor.
Edgecombe averaged 16 points per game last season, which I expect will decrease, but he also will likely be tasked with making defenses beat them.
With how accomplished this 76ers starting five is, there is no shame in saying he is the worst player in the group at this stage of his career. That means he may be left open at times this season as defenses focus on the others. However, Edgecombe is capable of making them pay, particularly when he gets a corner 3-point attempt.
Edgecombe cleared this line at a 54% clip last season, as well as in four of eight games against the Knicks. He knocked down three triples in three of those games.
VJ averaged about six 3-point attempts per game last season, which he may exceed tonight if he is left open often. That volume should allow him to clear this line.
Pick: VJ Edgecombe Over 1.5 Three Pointers Made (+112)
Thunder vs. Spurs
Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins, and Isaiah Joe are all gone from this roster, and the Thunder have committed to Cason Wallace long term with a contract extension.
Wallace is going to step into a bigger role moving forward, and while he's still a lower-usage player behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, he's going to take on a little more of a burden this season.
The Thunder need his defense on the floor against the Spurs’ guard trio. So, he should get a little extra opportunity, especially from the 3-point line with Victor Wembanyama protecting the rim.
Pick: Cason Wallace Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (-115)
Thunder vs. Spurs

I’ll play Julian Champagnie to make over 1.5 three-pointers tonight based on the Thunder's defensive profile.
Under Mark Daigneault, OKC has a distinct proclivity for giving up the long ball, specifically leaving corner shooters open by design.
Throughout the matchups between these two teams last season—and especially during the playoffs—that designated open man was consistently Champagnie.
Despite his gaudy shooting percentage, the Thunder were perfectly content leaving him wide open on the perimeter, a strategy he punished by draining six three-pointers in Game 7 of the Conference Finals.
I expect him to get those same high-quality looks tonight.
Pick: Julian Champagnie Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (-160)

Dylan Harper prioritized improving his perimeter shooting during the offseason, and the early returns are extremely promising.
During the preseason, Harper shot 8-of-14 from deep, with 35.8% of his field-goal attempts coming from beyond the arc.
As a rookie, only 27.3% of Harper's shot attempts came from 3-point territory.
Oklahoma City has allowed the most 3-point attempts in the league to opposing guards four years in a row now.
If Harper puts up 5+ long-range attempts on opening night, this is excellent value at plus-money.
