Magic vs Thunder NBA Preview

It just feels like people are freaking out about the Thunder because they won't win 70 games.

They are still 39-11, with the league’s best record by two games and the West's best record by 5.5 — while being banged up.

Sure, they have lost three of their last five, including one at home to the Pacers, but this is still the best team in the league right now.

It'll be hard to repeat because, well, nobody seems to do that anymore, but this isn't a free-fall (I reserve the right to retract all of this if the Magic, who have lost five of their last seven, beat them tonight).

Oklahoma City's long injury report is as follows:

Jalen Williams (hamstring), Ajay Mitchell (abdominal strain), Thomas Sorber (ACL) and Nikola Topic (testicular cancer) are out.

Alex Caruso (adductor) is doubtful.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (finger), Isaiah Hartenstein (calf), Chet Holmgren (back spasms) and Jaylin Williams (shoulder) are questionable.

It's worth noting that this is the first of a back-to-back for OKC, which plays the Spurs — a team it's 1-3 against — tomorrow.

The Magic have only Franz Wagner (ankle) out.

Magic vs Thunder Predictions, Betting Analysis

Desmond Bane has gone over 18.5 points in eight straight games without Franz Wagner.

So, I'll back Bane to make it nine straight against the Thunder tonight.

Pick: Desmond Bane Over 18.5 Points (-110)
