Magic vs Suns NBA Preview

The Magic badly need a strong run from here through the playoffs.

They started off on the right foot with a 131-94 win over the tanking Kings.

It's the Kings — but hey, at least the Magic didn't play with their food.

They went into the All-Star break having won five out of eight, and although they are just 29-25 and seventh in the Eastern Conference — well below their preseason expectations — they're still just 3.0 games out of a top-five seed.

The Suns are also seventh out West, but they're 32-24 and one of the best stories of the season, relative to their modest — at best — preseason expectations.

Phoenix got clapped by the Spurs, 121-94, on Thursday, which now gives them five losses in their last seven games.

These two teams have yet to share the floor this season.

Franz Wagner (shoulder) is out indefinitely for Orlando. Jalen Suggs (back) is questionable.

For Phoenix, Devin Booker (hip) and Cole Anthony (not with the team) are out.

Grayson Allen (ankle) is questionable and Haywood Highsmith (knee) is undetermined as of early Saturday morning.

Magic vs Suns Predictions, Betting Analysis

I'm not expecting a ton of points from two defensive-minded teams who are also without Booker, Franz and possibly Suggs.

Phoenix is tied for the second most unders at home (9-19), and Orlando is tied for the ninth most while on the road (11-14).

Pick: Under 219.5 (-110, bet365)
