Raptors vs Magic NBA Preview

The Raptors have 29 wins on the year, but have yet to defeat the Knicks or Celtics this season.

They appeared to be on their way on Tuesday night as they took a four-point lead into the break against the Knicks. However, the Knicks blitzed them 72-41 in the second half en route to a 27-point victory.

For Toronto, Brandon Ingram had 27 points while Scottie Barnes had 17 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.

However, they did not get much help as the team shot 38% from the field. The Raptors will head to Orlando in search of a marquee victory, this time on national TV.

Orlando has visions of becoming one of those top three teams in the East, but the Magic have battled both injury and inconsistency.

Tonight, they will be without Franz Wagner again as he continues to try to get over a high ankle sprain. Despite the absence of their young star, they are coming off a 133-124 victory over the rival Heat.

Paolo Banchero led the way with 31 points and 12 rebounds and he has been playing at a very high level of late, averaging 24.1 points and 9.2 rebounds over his last 10 games.

Anthony Black had 26 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, becoming the second-youngest Magic player to record 25 points, five assists and zero turnovers.

Orlando snapped a three-game losing streak in the process and sit a 1.5 games back of the 76ers for the sixth seed.

These teams have split the last 10 meetings both outright and against the spread. Though the Raptors have had the edge of late, winning the last four meetings.

The last three games have been decided by two points or less and another tight battle is expected with the Magic being a short home favorite.

Raptors vs Magic Predictions, Betting Analysis

RJ Barrett Over 4.5 Rebounds

RJ Barrett had a rough shooting night, going 3-for-13 on Tuesday. However, he was very active on the glass with eight rebounds in 24 minutes.

Barrett has battled injuries over the last couple of months, but he has been consistent on the glass with at least four rebounds in each of his last nine games.

He has pulled down five or more in seven of those games, including six rebounds in his last three games.

Averaging 5.2 rebounds per game, Barrett is going over this line and gets a solid matchup tonight.

Orlando is 13th in rebounds allowed overall, but 24th against shooting guards and small forwards- Barrett's primary positions.

He has had five rebounds in each of his last five games against Orlando, averaging 6.8 rebounds per game in that stretch.

Paolo Banchero 30+ Points & Rebounds

On the other side, expect Banchero to be active as he has pulled down six rebounds in five of his last seven games against Toronto. He has scored 20 points in six of those games as well, including 23 points and 15 rebounds in the last meeting.

Banchero has cleared 30 PR in five of his last seven games against the Raptors and five of his last six games overall with 47 and 43 in the last two.

Collin Murray-Boyles Over 2.5 Assists

With the third leg in tonight's parlay, I like Collin Murray-Boyles for three assists. The rookie does not get a lot of usage yet, particularly with Ingram, Barnes, Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley active.

However, he has had two assists in nine of his last 10 games and three assists in eight of those games. He has had five potential assists in four of his past five games, which will give him the chance for three or more tonight.

  • RJ Barrett Over 4.5 Rebounds (-125)

Raptors vs Magic Parlay Picks
