Arizona vs UConn College Basketball Betting Preview
Arizona Basketball
Tommy Lloyd once again brings a talented group into the 2025 season.
The Wildcats have been one of the most consistent teams in college basketball over the last decade, as they've gone dancing in 10 of the last 12 years.
The Cats are well on their well to another appearance in the NCAA Tournament this season, and if they keep playing like they have over the first two weeks of the season, they'll likely be a very high seed. Arizona has a perfect 4-0 record, including two top-15, resume-building wins over Florida and UCLA.
Freshman Koa Peat has been impressive, leading the Wildcats with 16.3 points per game. But it's senior Jaden Bradley who's really taken a step forward for Arizona, as he's averaging 15.8 points and 4.3 assists per game while playing a much greater role on this team.
Meanwhile, Tobe Awaka has been critical in the paint, ripping down a team-high 10.5 rebounds per night.
UConn Basketball
Dan Hurley's team had a disappointing campaign last season after winning back-to-back National Championships.
However, Hurley's program is back in the National Championship conversation this season.
The Huskies are ranked third in the nation, with a perfect 4-0 record. UConn’s best win so far this season came over then-seventh-ranked BYU on Saturday at TD Garden.
Somehow big man Tarris Reed Jr. is still underrated nationally despite leading this squad with 20 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
And don't forget, UConn still has veteran and two-time champion Alex Karaban. He's off to a solid start this season with 18.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Finally, Leesburg, Virginia, native Solo Ball has added 15.8 points and two assists an evening.
Arizona vs. UConn Betting Analysis
I expect this game to be one of the best of the non-conference — and maybe even the season in general.
I'm extremely high on both of these teams, but the Huskies hold a major advantage playing this game in Storrs.
UConn ranks in the top 10 in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency early in the season.
I expect Hurley's team to get more key stops and come out with more energy in this contest. Thus, I'll take UConn on the first-half spread.
My Pick: UConn 1H -3.5
