The opening night of the 2025 college basketball season has finally arrived, and we're going to get our first official look at several top teams.

With a number of lopsided matchups ahead, there are a few smash spots to capitalize on.

Let's dive into my top three college basketball player props and NCAAB picks for Monday, November 3.

College Basketball Player Props for Monday, Nov. 3

  • Henri Veesaar Over 5.5 Rebounds (-130 · bet365)
  • Terrence Brown Over 14.5 Points (-105 · Hard Rock)
  • Kennard Davis Jr. Over 8.5 Points (-120 · bet365)

Our first play of the season is to back the Tar Heels' big man Henri Veesaar. The seven-footer comes over from Arizona, where he showed tremendous athleticism in the paint on both ends of the floor.

Veesaar has a knack for grabbing offensive rebounds and converting put backs, which will work nicely with the Tar Heels' backcourt trio of shooters.

Tonight, we should see Veesarr dominate on the glass as Central Arkansas lacks the size to contend with him.

Bart Torvik has Veesaar slated to average 7.1 rebounds per game this season, so we may not see his total this low going forward.

Pick: Henri Veesaar Over 5.5 Rebounds (-130 · bet365)

Next, we head to Salt Lake City, where the Utah Utes have found a dude in Terrence Brown. Brown transfers over from FDU, where he averaged 20.6 points per game.

Brown is a volume scorer (14.1 field goal attempts per game last season), and he's brought his unshakable confidence to Utah. In a preseason scrimmage against Nevada, Brown put up 27 points, going 8-for-13 from the field and 2-for-4 from downtown.

If his perimeter shooting efficiency has improved like we saw, Brown could soar over this total.

Factor in that the Utes are facing San Jose State — which was 242nd in points allowed last season, and come into this season ranked 195th in adjusted defensive efficiency — and a hot start for Brown is in the cards tonight.

Pick: Terrence Brown Over 14.5 Points (-105 · Hard Rock)

If you read my Big 12 season preview, you'd know that the BYU Cougars are a team on the rise. They're loaded with talent, and a big factor in their success this season will be Kennard Davis Jr.

Davis has been praised for his defensive prowess, but don't be fooled, he can fill it up, too. Davis averaged 18 points per game last season at Southern Illinois. He flashed his proficiency from beyond the arc in the preseason, as he was a 43% shooter from long range in 2024-25.

With a projected two made 3s tonight, he'll be very close to this total with minimal volume.

Back him to be a big part of a blowout win for the Cougars.

Pick: Kennard Davis Jr. Over 8.5 Points (-120 · bet365)
