The March Madness field of 68 has finally been set, with First Four and First Round games beginning the week of March 16. The race is on to see who will make the Final Four in Indianapolis in a few weeks time.

We rarely see a Final Four without one the top-seeded teams involved, so it's fitting that Kalshi has the four #1 seeds atop the odds for who will make the Final Four this April.

For those interested in wagering on March Madness, one platform allows you to place real money on the outcome in most states. That platform is Kalshi, which blends traditional financial systems with innovative prediction markets.

March Madness No. 1 Seeds to Make Final Four Odds

The four #1 seeds have the highest odds to make the Final Four, but it's notable that at open, defending champion Florida is a tier below the other three. The Gators were done away with in the SEC semifinal by a lower-seeded Vanderbilt team, and has the most losses out of any of these #1-seeded teams. Sure, some of them came against tough competitors like Arizona, Duke, and UConn, but there were other tough defeats in conference play at the hands of an unranked Mizzou squad, and a faltering Auburn team.

Out of the lower seeds with high odds, some of the more interesting ones are Houston, last year's runner-up, and the bevy of Big Ten teams behind the Cougars: Illinois, Purdue, and Michigan State.

The Fighting Illini boast a historically efficient and extremely deep offense, thanks in no small part by the excellent recruiting job Brad Underwood did last offseason. Keaton Wagler went from blue blood snub to First Team All-Big Ten, while Kylan Boswell,David Mirkovic, Andrej Stojakovic, Tomislav Ivisic rounded out an incredible supporting cast. They struggled a bit to end the regular season, dropping close games to competitive Michigan State, Wisconsin, and UCLA teams, before getting blown out by Michigan and bounced by Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals. This is still one of the better teams on the board, especially if the defense holds up.

Purdue is coming off an impressive Big Ten Tournament championship where they deposed #1 seed Michigan by eight points, and boast a fellow first-teamer in Braden Smith. The program has not had the same success against tough opponents that they did in the Zach Edey years, but they beat a ranked Nebraska team twice, and defeated #8 Alabama, #15 Texas Tech, and #21 Auburn earlier in the season.

Michigan State is always an interesting watch come March due to the coaching prowess of Tom Izzo, and as he usually does, he has the talent on his squad to make a deep run. Jeremy Fears Jr. made First Team All-Big Ten, while Jaxon Kohler, Coen Carr, and Kur Teng all made sizable leaps in their production.
