2021 College Football National Championship Odds: Ohio State, Clemson Lead the Way

College football's 2019 season is barely in the books, and we've already got odds for the 2020-21 title.

Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas released opening lines for next season, with Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia and LSU leading the way.

Clemson and Ohio State, who will both have star quarterbacks returning, are the only teams listed at less than 5-1.

The next three — Alabama, LSU and Georgia — will all be replacing quarterbacks entering 2020.

At 8-1, these are the longest odds Alabama has had to win the national title since 2015, when the Crimson Tide did win it all.

Just a few true longshots have cashed in the last two decades — Ohio State after it lost quarterback Braxton Miller in the preseason, and Auburn in 2010 when no one knew Cam Newton would be Cam Newton.

Eleven national champs since 2001 had odds of less than 8-1 before the season.
