Warhawks 2026 Schedule & Betting Odds
UL Monroe Warhawks Odds & Betting Guide — 2026 Season
UL Monroe started 5-1 in 2024 and finished 0-6. Then it went 3-9. Understanding which version of this program shows up is the entire question, and last year the market did not think it was much of one.
Where UL Monroe stands
Bryant Vincent's first season produced the program's best year since 2019. The Warhawks went 5-7 after inheriting a team that had gone 10-36 across the previous four seasons, opening 5-1 with a road win at Troy, a signature 21-19 victory over James Madison and a 38-21 win over Southern Miss. That 4-1 start was ULM's first in the FBS era and its best since 1993.
Then it stopped entirely. The Warhawks lost their final six games.
Year two went 3-9 with a 1-7 conference record, though it contained two results worth noting. ULM beat Arkansas State 28-16 on homecoming, its first win over the Red Wolves in more than 16 years after 15 straight losses. And the season opened with a 29-0 shutout of Saint Francis, the program's first shutout victory in over a decade.
Vincent is 15-22 as an FBS head coach across ULM and an interim season at UAB. He has also been serving as ULM's interim athletic director, an unusual double role that speaks to the resources this program operates with.
The special teams work has been the most consistent element. ULM led the Sun Belt and ranked third nationally in kickoff return defense last season at 13.24 yards allowed, and finished third in the conference with two blocked kicks. In 2024 the Warhawks led the league in passing yards allowed, blocked kicks and fewest penalty yards per game.
Linebacker Noah Flemmings earned third-team All-Sun Belt recognition, and cornerback D'Arco Perkins-McAllister signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent.
Earnest Hill returns for a third season running the 4-2-5 defense, and the offense remains a spread option.
Sun Belt coaches have picked ULM last in the West Division in each of Vincent's first two seasons.
The Sun Belt West in 2026
Texas State left for the rebuilt Pac-12 and Louisiana Tech arrived from Conference USA, which adds an in-state conference game ULM has played for years as a non-conference matchup. The Warhawks host the Bulldogs on Oct. 17.
The non-conference slate opens with road trips to Mississippi State on Sept. 5 and UAB on Sept. 12, followed by FCS Southeastern Louisiana and Florida Atlantic at Malone Stadium.
The Battle on the Bayou is the calendar's outlier. ULM hosts Louisiana on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. Eastern, the only non-Saturday game on the schedule and the latest weeknight kickoff in the conference.
UL Monroe 2026 futures odds
ULM enters as one of the lowest-priced teams in the Sun Belt, having been picked last in the West in consecutive preseason polls.
The case for improvement is Vincent's first-year evidence. He took a program that had won 10 games in four years to 5-7 immediately, and the pieces that produced that start have not been dismantled by the portal in the way Group of Five rosters typically are. Third-year continuity with Hill on defense is more than most programs at this level carry.
The case against is the 0-6 finish and the 3-9 follow-up. A team that collapses across the back half of one season and then regresses the next is describing depth problems rather than bad luck. ULM also draws Mississippi State and UAB on the road before conference play, which means the schedule offers little cushion early.

Season-long markets also trade on prediction markets, where a number this low draws thin volume and can drift from the sportsbook price. Betting UL Monroe point spreads
A point spread bet turns on margin of victory rather than who wins.
Take the Thursday, Nov. 12 Battle on the Bayou against Louisiana at Malone Stadium. These are illustrative prices, so pull live college football odds for the real number:
- UL Monroe +10.5 (-110)
- Louisiana -10.5 (-110)
UL Monroe covers by losing by 10 or fewer, or by winning outright. Louisiana covers by winning by 11 or more. The -110 on each side is the vig: risk $1.10 to win $1.
The Warhawks angle: special teams is where this program has consistently outperformed its talent, and it is the phase that most affects margins on bad teams. ULM ranked third nationally in kickoff return defense last season and has led the Sun Belt in blocked kicks twice under Vincent.
Field position matters disproportionately for underdogs, because a team that cannot sustain long drives needs short fields to score at all. A program that reliably wins the kicking game keeps games closer than its offensive and defensive numbers suggest, which shows up in cover rate rather than in the record.
Track that through the against the spread standings, and pay attention to the seasonal split given the 0-6 finish two years ago.
A bet365 bonus code gets you a second price to compare, and we track college football betting promos as they change.
Betting UL Monroe totals
An over/under asks whether the combined final score lands above or below the posted number. At 45.5, a 24-23 final goes over and a 24-21 final stays under.
- Over 45.5 (-110)
- Under 45.5 (-110)
The spread option is built to shorten games. ULM controls tempo when it can move the ball, which suppresses possessions for both teams and pushes totals lower than a conventional offense would.
The defense supports the same read. Leading the Sun Belt in passing yards allowed in 2024 and ranking third nationally in kickoff return defense in 2025 describes a unit that limits explosive plays even when it cannot get off the field.
The Thursday night rivalry game is the softest pricing spot on the schedule. A 9 p.m. Eastern kickoff on a weeknight in Monroe draws the thinnest action of any Sun Belt game, markets open later, and books diverge more from each other than they do on Saturday numbers. Public betting data helps read it, since it separates the share of tickets from the share of dollars.
Our analysts work the same angles in weekly college football picks.
Betting the UL Monroe moneyline
A moneyline bet is a bet on who wins outright. Margin is irrelevant.
UL Monroe will be an underdog in most games. An illustrative price:
- UL Monroe +260
- Opponent +320
Convert to implied probability and the margin shows. UL Monroe at +260 breaks even around 27.8%; a favorite at -320 breaks even around 76.2%. Those sum past 100%, and the excess is the sportsbook's cut.
On payouts, $10 on UL Monroe at +260 returns $36 for a $26 profit. An odds calculator handles any price.
The upset history is real and recent. Vincent's ULM beat James Madison 21-19 in 2024 when the Dukes were a conference contender, won at Troy in the same season, and broke a 15-game losing streak against Arkansas State last year. This is a program that produces two or three long-priced wins per season even in bad years.
The Oct. 17 game against Louisiana Tech is worth watching for a different reason. Two in-state programs meeting as conference opponents for the first time creates a matchup neither team has recent scouting continuity on.
UL Monroe player props
College prop markets aren't offered in every legal state, so availability varies even where you can bet the game.
Flemmings anchors the defensive markets as a third-team All-Sun Belt linebacker returning to Hill's system for a third year. Tackle props on linebackers for teams that face heavy offensive volume tend to carry more value than the numbers suggest, since a defense on the field constantly produces counting stats regardless of quality.
Offensive props are thinner. A spread option attack distributes rushing volume across the quarterback and multiple backs, which makes team rushing totals a cleaner expression of a view than any individual line.
Special teams markets deserve a mention where books offer them. ULM has led the Sun Belt in blocked kicks twice in Vincent's two seasons, which is a genuinely repeatable coaching outcome rather than variance.
