You may be familiar with our weekly moneyline underdog article. Well, we decided a couple of years ago that we needed to show love for the other side by also sharing our two favorite college football favorites that we share weekly on the "Big Bets on Campus" podcast.

We affectionately refer to them as "overdogs," thanks to one of our beloved callers. To kick off the chalk talk this week, we're rolling with two Power 4 favorites.

Let's dive into our Week 6 college football picks and NCAAF predictions for USC vs. Penn State and Hawaii vs. Arizona State on Saturday, Oct. 10. And be sure to download the Action Network app for additional picks and analysis.

I'm taking Penn State at home in the Whiteout.

USC can’t travel. It's something like 1-17 against the spread in its last 18 trips to the Central and Eastern Time Zones, which is a brutal trend to ignore.

We saw USC play Rutgers, and it didn’t inspire confidence.

On the other side, Penn State gets extra rest and prep. It played Northwestern last Friday and got embarrassed, so you should expect its best effort this week.

Home crowd, Whiteout energy, extra time to game-plan — it's all in Penn State’s favor.

Matchup-wise, the Nittany Lions' pass defense has been solid, and USC’s rushing attack hasn’t been great.

Add in a bunch of injury questions for USC on both sides of the ball — tight end Mark Bowman, receiver Trent Mosley, among others — and there’s a lot of uncertainty for the Trojans to overcome.

Also, Penn State should be able to move the ball against a vulnerable USC defense. I think Rocco Becht will look fine without Koby Howard.

With travel issues and injuries for USC, I’ll take Penn State to pick up the win in a bounce-back spot.

Pick: Penn State -1.5

My overdog this week is Arizona State, which was the pick in my Week 6 Early Bet column.

Hawaii is just abysmal right now. There's so much going wrong on both the stat and injury fronts, and you can see it in the way they’re playing.

On top of that, the Bows have been hopping back and forth to and from the mainland a lot. I think this is their third trip this season . Due to that travel, they just looked flat and exhausted against San Jose State last week. They could really use a bye week.

Arizona State, meanwhile, has Kenny Dillingham publicly speaking about execution. He knows the roster can do more, and he’s taking the blame, which means he’s going to keep pushing this team hard.

This is basically a sandwich game between conference matchups and the perfect spot for Dillingham to pile on. Hawaii’s problems make that easy.

Expect ASU to score early and often and to run the Bows right back home.

Pick: Arizona State -20.5
