You may be familiar with our weekly moneyline underdog article. Well, we decided a couple of years ago that we needed to show love for the other side by also sharing our two favorite college football favorites that we share weekly on the "Big Bets on Campus" podcast.

We affectionately refer to them as "overdogs," thanks to one of our beloved callers.

To keep the chalk talk rolling this week, we're two home favorites — one in the Big 12 and one in the SEC.

Let's dive into our Week 6 college football predictions and NCAAF picks for Oklahoma State vs. Arizona and Mississippi State vs. Texas A&M on Saturday, Oct. 4.

Oklahoma State is just a complete mess right now. It's so bad that I'd make Western Michigan a favorite over the Pokes on a neutral field. That’s how bad they are.

They’re operating on a different level and not in a good way.

The Cowboys have the worst Power 4 offense and the worst defense. Even when you adjust for their opponents, they’re miles behind of the pack in terms of being the worst on both sides of the ball. It’s pathetic.

And things are only getting worse. Oklahoma State fired its defensive coordinator, and guess who’s stepping in? Clint Bowen, the offensive quality control coach who’s been coaching high school football for the last four years. That’s the kind of stopgap move that screams disaster.

I wouldn’t be shocked if more players transfer out soon after a starting safety already hit the portal. It’s an all-around collapse that's picking up speed.

Arizona should have its way here. I expect the Wildcats to run right through whatever the Pokes try to throw at them.

After the 'Cats took a hit last week, this game looks like a total blowout in the making. It's setting up for something like a 58-0 beatdown. This OSU team is just that bad.

Texas A&M should take care of business here.

Mississippi State is struggling to get any kind of pressure on the quarterback, which is exactly what's needed to disrupt an offense like Texas A&M’s.

Looking back at the Bulldogs' game against Tennessee, the Volunteers managed to connect on 10 passes of at least 15 yards. Tennessee doubled the national average for explosive plays per drive.

Texas A&M has the pieces to do that as well with wide receivers Mario Craver and KC Concepcion.

If you dig into the box score from the Tennessee game, 16 targets were split between wide receivers Mike Matthews and Chris Brazzell II, and those two combined for 223 yards.

Craver is a pure slot receiver who's one of the best in the country, but Concepcion, Terry Bussey and Ashton Bethel-Roman line up outside and could be key in this game.

The Texas A&M defense also deserves a shoutout, especially after a rough couple of weeks. A&M gave up just one explosive pass in its last game against Auburn. The Tigers averaged just 3.1 yards per play, as the Aggies defense showed up in a big way.

Their tackling, which ranked 118th in the country, picked up as well. They missed only six tackles, which is a sign of things getting better.

I see Texas A&M’s defense trending up. It feels like the Aggies have legitimately turned a corner.
