My 76ers vs. Knicks Prediction on BetMGM
Opening Night betting carries extra variance, and tonight’s game at Madison Square Garden fits that pattern. Here’s a look at the latest 76ers-Knicks BetMGM odds, accurate as of publish time and subject to change:
- Moneyline: Knicks -185 | 76ers +166
- Spread: Knicks -5.5 (-115), 76ers +5.5 (-110)
- Total: 231.5
I’m backing the Knicks moneyline (-185) tonight as my 76ers vs. Knicks prediction. New York returns its championship roster and raises its banner at home, while Philadelphia fields a roster that looks almost nothing like the group the Knicks swept in last year’s playoffs.
The 76ers added major new pieces this offseason in Jaylen Brown and LeBron James, but brand new teammates rarely build real chemistry in a single game.
For proof, look no further than when James joined the Miami Heat back in 2011. That team started slowly as they had to define roles and a pecking order for their stars, and that situation is going to have to happen again now in Philadelphia.
Fitting new ball handlers, defensive rotations, and an offensive pecking order takes ample time. If you like my analysis and breakdown of the BetMGM bonus code TOPACTION, sign up now to bet on 76ers vs. Knicks NBA odds.
