Haliey Welch, also known as 'Hawk Tuah', made a splashy return to the public eye by participating in the Celebrity Poker Tour over the weekend.

It was an invite-only event that brought together ten poker players, influencers, models, and sports stars who were all vying for the winner-takes-all $10,000 prize.

This poker game wasn't only filled with drama; some of the celebrities exhibited skill and strategy, while others, well, not so much. It all unfolded at the PokerGO Studio on the Las Vegas Strip.

What is the Celebrity Poker Tour?

The Celebrity Poker Tour (CPT) brings together famous people from different areas like sports, fashion, social media, and entertainment.

It gives celebrities a chance to show off their poker skills while competing for a big prize. The CPT uses a unique format where ten players sit at one table, and only the winner takes home the entire prize, making each game thrilling and competitive.

But it's not just about poker. CPT is also a social event where stars mingle, network, and enjoy each other's company. With its mix of strategy, excitement, and star appeal, the CPT attracts a lot of attention from both fans and the media, making it a must-see event in the poker world.

Hailey Welch Part of a Star-Studded Lineup

Welch was in good company because this event was not short on big names.

Notably, chess streamer and GGPoker ambassador Alexandra Botez, former baseball star Jose Canseco, NFL legend Adrian Peterson, and American-Brazilian mixed martial artist Mackenzie Dern graced the table. Social media influencers such as CJ So Cool and Suede Brooks added to the star power, creating a vibrant mix of personalities and skills.

For Welch, the Celebrity Poker Tour event was preceded by a recently released Vanity Fair article. During the interview, she expressed her excitement about being back in the public spotlight and participating in such a high-stakes event.

She withdrew from the public eye following allegations of her involvement in a pump-and-dump scheme linked to her meme coin, HAWK. However, an independent investigation by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cleared Welch of wrongdoing.

'Hawk Tuah' Holds Her Ground

The game started with much anticipation and wasn’t long before eliminations began.

Alexandra Botez was the first to leave the table, finishing in 10th place. NFL legend Adrian Peterson, who frequently performs well in CPT events, was eliminated shortly after, taking the ninth spot. Zach Justice, Trent Attyah, and American model Josie Canseco followed suit, with Josie cheering on her father, Jose Canseco, as he continued to compete.

Welch made it to the top half of the table. However, her journey ended in fifth place when her suited ace-nine was out-flopped by Suede Brooks.

Brooks is a prominent YouTube influencer, fashion model, and designer.
