The slate runs through four games, and each section below breaks down the reasoning, the ticket and the payout.
Tennessee vs. South Carolina Prediction
Tennessee (6-1, 3-1 SEC) travels to Columbia on a three-game winning streak after a 26-10 win over Alabama. The Vols lean on their defense and a ground game led by DeSean Bishop, while quarterback George MacIntyre threw for 197 yards in that win.
South Carolina (3-3, 1-3 SEC) is rested after a bye week and fresh off a 38-19 upset at Florida that snapped an eight-game SEC losing streak. LaNorris Sellers accounted for five touchdowns in that win.
Best 1st Half Spread Pick Today – Tennessee -2.5
Among the CFB best bets today, our first Tennessee trade is:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| TENN -2.5 (1H) | Yes | 38¢ | $247.71 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
Tennessee's offense is built on the run, ranking fifth nationally in EPA per rush and sixth in offensive success rate when running. South Carolina ranks 68th in EPA per rush allowed, which sets up a matchup the Vols should win up front.
The concern is margin, since Tennessee led Alabama only 12-10 at halftime after settling for four field goals.
I'm betting that a touchdown, or one extra field goal, builds the three-point cushion before the break, and South Carolina's bye week keeps the price honest.
On Kalshi, the “Tennessee wins by over 2.5 points” first-half spread market shows Yes at 38¢ and No at 63¢, with the odds listed at a 40% chance. Buying Yes at 38¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $247.71.
- If Tennessee leads by 3 or more points at halftime, the $100 ticket returns $247.71.
- If Tennessee leads by 2 or fewer points, or trails, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $247.71 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 2.5x the stake.
Best Total Points Pick Today – Under 50.5
My college football prediction for the game total is:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 50.5 Pts (Over NO) | No | 49¢ | $198.98 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
Tennessee's last four games have finished with 37, 38, 41 and 36 combined points, all well short of this number. The Vols run the ball, shorten games and still have a quarterback spot that is a work in progress.
South Carolina's first three SEC games each produced at least 67 combined points, but the Gamecocks' win at Florida finished at 57. If Tennessee controls the clock the way it has lately, the Under has room to breathe.
On Kalshi, the “Over 50.5 points” game total market shows Yes at 52¢ and No at 49¢, with the odds listed at a 52% chance. Buying No at 49¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $198.98. Buying No on the Over contract is the same as taking the Under.
- If the teams combine for 50 or fewer points, the $100 ticket returns $198.98.
- If the teams combine for 51 or more points, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $198.98 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 2.0x the stake.
Indiana vs. Michigan Prediction
Indiana (6-1, 3-1 Big Ten) had its 22-game winning streak snapped by Ohio State, 19-15, and now visits Michigan (4-2, 1-2 Big Ten) at Michigan Stadium.
Josh Hoover leads an Indiana offense looking to bounce back, while Kyle Whittingham's Wolverines are still searching for offensive consistency.
The Hoosiers rank first among FBS teams in first-half defense, allowing just 3.7 opponent points per game before halftime.
Best 1st Half Spread Pick Today – Indiana -7.5
In this game, my CFB predictions start with:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| IND -7.5 (1H) | Yes | 34¢ | $281.11 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
Indiana owns the nation's best first-half defense, which is why this long price is worth a look. Michigan's offense ranks 57th in success rate and 52nd in adjusted EPA per play, so early drives could stall.
It is a big ask, since Indiana needs an eight-point lead at the break on the road. Most books have the Hoosiers favored by about a touchdown or more for the whole game, so a 7.5-point halftime lead is a stretch, and that is why Kalshi lists it at 34¢.
Still, Indiana is coming off its first loss in 22 games and has won three home games by 35 or more points this season. A bounce-back start in Ann Arbor is exactly the scenario this ticket needs.
On Kalshi, the “Indiana wins by over 7.5 points” first-half spread market shows Yes at 34¢ and No at 68¢, with the odds listed at a 36% chance. Buying Yes at 34¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $281.11.
- If Indiana leads by 8 or more points at halftime, the $100 ticket returns $281.11.
- If Indiana leads by 7 or fewer points, or trails, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $281.11 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 2.8x the stake.
Best Team Total Prop Today – Michigan Under 20.5 Points
Michigan's side of the ledger gives me this NCAA prediction:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| MICH Under 20.5 Pts (Over NO) | No | 66¢ | $147.98 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
Michigan has been held to 13, 17 and 19 points in games this season, and Indiana allowed just 11.8 points per game through its first six games. Even Ohio State scored only 19 against the Hoosiers last week.
The risk is a breakout, since Michigan scored 52 against UTEP. That game came against a team without a defense like Indiana's, and this number gives Michigan room to reach 20 points and still cash the ticket.
On Kalshi, the “Michigan over 20.5 points” team total market shows Yes at 35¢ and No at 66¢, with the odds listed at a 68% chance. Buying No at 66¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $147.98. Buying No on the Over contract is the same as taking the Under.
- If Michigan scores 20 or fewer points, the $100 ticket returns $147.98.
- If Michigan scores 21 or more points, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $147.98 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 1.5x the stake.
LSU vs. Auburn Prediction
LSU (5-2) bounced back from a 35-34 loss at Kentucky with a 31-0 shutout of Mississippi State.
First-year coach Lane Kiffin has quarterback Sam Leavitt on a streak of two straight games with 25 or more completions, the longest in the FBS, but the Tigers are playing their eighth straight game without a bye.
Auburn (4-2, 2-2 SEC) is coming off a last-second field goal that beat then-No. 1 Georgia in Athens. First-year coach Alex Golesh has quarterback Byrum Brown leading the offense, and LSU is favored by roughly a touchdown on the road.
Best 1st Half Spread Pick Today – LSU -7.5
My first of the best college football picks today in this game is:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| LSU -7.5 (1H) | Yes | 40¢ | $239.90 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
LSU has beaten McNeese by 49, Texas A&M by 29 and Mississippi State by 31 this season, showing it can pull away from opponents it handles. Auburn's defense allowed 44 points to Florida and 440 yards to Georgia, so there are cracks to attack early.
The case against it is the setting and the number. Auburn is home with momentum, LSU is deep into a no-bye stretch, and a 7.5-point halftime lead is more than the full-game spread at most books. At 40¢, the price already reflects those risks.
On Kalshi, the “LSU wins by over 7.5 points” first-half spread market shows Yes at 40¢ and No at 66¢, with the odds listed at a 42% chance. Buying Yes at 40¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $239.90.
- If LSU leads by 8 or more points at halftime, the $100 ticket returns $239.90.
- If LSU leads by 7 or fewer points, or trails, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $239.90 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 2.4x the stake.
Best Team Total Prop Today – Auburn Over 19.5 Points
On the Auburn side, I'm taking:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| AUB Over 19.5 Pts | Yes | 59¢ | $164.76 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
Auburn has reached at least 21 points in three of the five games before the Georgia upset, including 43 against Southern Miss and 39 against Florida, and it piled up 366 yards against Georgia.
The market agrees this number is reachable, since the opening line of LSU -7 with a total of 51 put Auburn at roughly 22 points.
LSU allowed 35 at Kentucky and 32 at Ole Miss, so the Tigers' defense has been beatable on the road, even if its shutout of Mississippi State is the risk to this ticket.
On Kalshi, the “Auburn over 19.5 points” team total market shows Yes at 59¢ and No at 43¢, with the odds listed at a 61% chance. Buying Yes at 59¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $164.76.
- If Auburn scores 20 or more points, the $100 ticket returns $164.76.
- If Auburn scores 19 or fewer points, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $164.76 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 1.6x the stake.
Texas A&M vs. Alabama Prediction
Alabama (5-2, 3-2 SEC) has lost back-to-back games to Georgia and Tennessee and is trying to stop the slide at home.
The Crimson Tide managed just 201 yards and turned the ball over four times in the 26-10 loss in Knoxville, where quarterback Keelon Russell threw two interceptions.
Texas A&M (4-3) has fallen off since its playoff run last season and has just one SEC win. Alabama is a double-digit home favorite, opening at 16.5 points before settling near 14.5 at DraftKings.
Best 1st Half Spread Pick Today – Alabama -6.5
Among my best NCAAF picks today, the first-half play is:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| ALA -6.5 (1H) | Yes | 58¢ | $167.48 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
Alabama has won its home games this season by 38, 14 and 31 points over East Carolina, Florida State and South Carolina.
A 6.5-point halftime number is just under half of the 14.5-point full-game spread, and Texas A&M scored only six points in two of its three games against ranked SEC opponents.
The risk is real, because Alabama trailed Tennessee 12-10 at the half and its offense has been shaky, with Russell's turnovers and injuries at receiver. I'm betting that a home crowd and a struggling opponent get the Tide off the canvas early today.
On Kalshi, the “Alabama wins by over 6.5 points” first-half spread market shows Yes at 58¢ and No at 45¢, with the odds listed at a 60% chance. Buying Yes at 58¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $167.48.
- If Alabama leads by 7 or more points at halftime, the $100 ticket returns $167.48.
- If Alabama leads by 6 or fewer points, or trails, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $167.48 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 1.7x the stake.
Best Team Total Prop Today – Texas A&M Over 13.5 Points
Texas A&M's team total gives me one of the college football prop bets today:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| TA&M Over 13.5 Pts | Yes | 70¢ | $139.91 | Trade it now on Kalshi! |
This one needs the Aggies to score just 14 points. The opening line of Alabama -16.5 with a total of 52 implied Texas A&M in the high teens, and Alabama had allowed 36 points to Florida State and 23 to Mississippi State before holding Tennessee to 10.
The danger is that Texas A&M scored six points in two of its three games against ranked SEC teams, including a 35-6 loss to LSU.
Still, a 14-point floor is a low bar, and Alabama's turnover trouble could hand the Aggies short fields. This is the most conservative ticket on the board.
On Kalshi, the “Texas A&M over 13.5 points” team total market shows Yes at 70¢ and No at 34¢, with the odds listed at a 71% chance. Buying Yes at 70¢ with $100 entered shows a max payout of $139.91.
- If Texas A&M scores 14 or more points, the $100 ticket returns $139.91.
- If Texas A&M scores 13 or fewer points, the full $100 is lost.
A return of $139.91 on a $100 ticket works out to a payout of about 1.4x the stake.
What's Moving the Market: Week 8 CFB Odds
The Kalshi board splits into two camps when you read the CFB odds as contract prices. Team total contracts on the underdogs carry the heaviest prices, with Texas A&M over 13.5 at 70¢ and Michigan under 20.5 at 66¢ the two safest tickets on the slate.
The first-half spreads sit at the other end. Indiana at 34¢, Tennessee at 38¢ and LSU at 40¢ all price below 50%, which fits how hard it is to build a halftime lead of a touchdown or more.
Alabama's 6.5-point halftime number, roughly 45% of its 14.5-point full-game spread, is priced higher at 58¢.
Line shopping matters here, so compare these contract prices with the latest NCAAF odds at sportsbooks. If the NCAAF odds at the books disagree with a Kalshi price, that gap is where the value lives.
You can also track how every contract moves on the prediction markets hub before kickoff.

What Does a First-Half Spread Mean in CFB Predictions?
A first-half spread market asks whether a team will lead by more than a set number of points at halftime. For example, Indiana wins by over 7.5 points in the first half means Indiana must lead by 8 or more points at the break.
