What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, unless you’re trying to visit over 100 casinos in 24 hours and set a new world record.

Armijn Meijer and Dominique van der Geer are two casino-loving people from the Netherlands who are about to undertake a wild challenge: visiting 112 casinos in just 24 hours! Their goal is to break the unofficial record, and they're pulling out all the stops with SUVs, helicopters and a livestream for all of us to enjoy.

"This epic journey is for us a bucket-list thing," Meijer said. "We love Vegas so much and casino’s. It is our casino legacy and a dream come true."

Their quest kicks off at Harrah’s Laughlin at 2:05 AM on Wednesday, February 5th. Yes, that’s 2-5-2025 at 2:05 a.m.

Original Plan Was to Break the Official Record

In 2017, Americans Kimo Ah Yun and Gary Meyer set a Guinness World Record by visiting 74 casinos.

Ah Yun and Meyer described the experience as almost an art form. They had to carefully plan which casinos would be open and which bus routes would get them there at the right time, relying entirely on public transportation.

They walked 26 miles, rode buses for over six hours, and managed to visit 74 casinos in 22.5 hours. Their achievement surpassed the old record, which stood at 69 casinos.

However, Meijer and van der Geer initially aimed for 74 casinos but had to adjust their plan. Due to COVID, many smaller casinos closed their table games, leaving them with only 70 options.

New Plan — Break Unofficial Record — Hit Over 100 Casinos

With the flexibility of the unofficial record — where public transport doesn’t tie you down — the goal is now much bigger.

They think they can visit and place a bet in 112 casinos in 24 hours.

After conquering Laughlin, they’ll hop on a helicopter to Primm to continue the casino blitz by SUV. The grand finale? Arriving at El Cortez in Downtown Las Vegas by 1:30 AM on February 6, hopefully as record holders.

They will only have about four and a half minutes to spend at each casino. In each casino, their routine is fast and furious: sprint to a slot machine, throw in $5, hit the button, grab the voucher and race to the next stop.

The pair estimates they'll walk 18 miles, in addition to taking helicopter rides and high-speed truck trips between casinos.

It Takes a Team to Break This Kind of Record

The good news is that they don’t have to do it alone. They have a support crew that includes two drivers, two camera operators (for the livestream on their YouTube Channel) and two cars — in case something happens to one. They even have backup cash to use in the event of an emergency.

Meijer posted this photo of him, van der Geer and the rest of their team in Nevada on his LinkedIn page.

Their background are also helping them put their meticulous plan together.

Armijn isn’t new to the casino scene. He's a former European blackjack champion and holds the Dutch record for visiting the most casinos. Combine that with Dominique's expertise in motorsport management and background as a Vegas travel agent, and you've got a dream team.

It will be a mad dash for cash, in some respects, although they'll be in and out so quickly, if they do win, they'll have to make a return visit to each casino to collect. I'm sure it's a problem they both wish to have.

I wonder what the record is for most online casinos visited in 24 hours? That one might be next on the list.

Good Luck!
