Joe Flacco

Over 0.5 Interceptions (-165)

There has been a lot of talk about Joe Flacco over the past month with the 38-year old leading the Browns to four wins and throwing multiple touchdown passes in each game.

However, despite the fanfare, I’m not totally buying into it. It’s the defense that is winning the Browns games.

Flacco has thrown 13 touchdown passes in five games, but what isn’t really being discussed is the fact that he’s thrown eight picks in that timeframe. He doesn’t take enough care with the football and I think he’ll get intercepted again against the Texans, something that could cost the Browns dearly now that we’re in the playoffs

Pick: Joe Flacco Over 0.5 Interceptions (-165)

David Njoku

Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

The man who has benefited the most from Flacco taking the reins in Cleveland has to be David Njoku. He’s had an almost instant connection with the former Ravens QB and it’s no mistake that his three biggest games of the season have all been with Flacco.

Njoku’s receiving yards total stands at 56.5 against the Texans. It’s a number that he’s hit in three of five games with Flacco at quarterback. However there have been two 100+ yard games in that span and it averages out at 78 receiving yards per game.

The Texans have allowed more receptions to tight ends than anybody besides the Bengals and only four teams have given up more yardage to the position. This is a must-play.

Pick: David Njoku Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

David Njoku

Anytime Touchdown (+210)

As well as smashing his receiving yard line, I also think that +210 is great value on Njoku finding the end zone. The Texans’ defense have struggled against the position and Njoku’s athletic profile is among the best in the NFL in his position.

He’s coming into this game hot, too, having scored four touchdowns in his past four games. He was rested in Week 18, so he should be fresh and ready to perform on Saturday.

Pick: David Njoku Anytime Touchdown (+210)

Dalton Schultz

Anytime Touchdown (+260)

I’m also backing Texans tight end Dalton Schultz to find the end zone. I’ve been really impressed with his connection with C.J. Stroud this season, and crucially, with the wide receiver corp missing Tank Dell and having Noah Brown and Robert Woods banged up, it should mean more opportunity for Schultz.

We saw Stroud target Schultz seven times last week when those three receivers weren't on the field. It’s hard for anybody to catch a passing touchdown against this Browns defense, but it’s worth noting that they’ve allowed six touchdowns to tight ends this season, and just 13 to wide receivers, a ratio that is in stark contrast to the rest of the league.

Pick: Dalton Schultz Anytime Touchdown (+260)

Texans Defense

Anytime Touchdown (+850)

The Texans are middle-of-the-pack in takeaways this season, but I think +850 is a very good price on them to get a touchdown this week.

The reasons are in part covered above, but Falcco’s ball security would concern me if I were a Browns fan.

He’s been intercepted eight times in just five games and is committed to trying to force it downfield. He has a risky style of play and two of those eight picks have been returned to the house.

At +850, I’m very happy to have a small wager on the Texans repeating the trick on Saturday.

Pick: Texans Defense Anytime Touchdown (+850)
