Opening Line

Fresh off a 34-20 home win over the Houston Texans last Thursday night, the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs opened as 6.5-point road favorites against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2 on Sunday. The Chiefs covered the spread as 9.5-point favorites versus the Texans to kick off the NFL season, with the total going over the closing number of 53.5. However, many bettors got a higher number and saw the under cash.

This Week 2 line is already up to Kansas City -7 at books like DraftKings despite Los Angeles rallying for a 16-13 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Chargers pushed on the opening number of -3 but did cover for those who waited and got -2.5, with the total going way under 41.
